Creates beautiful catchlights
I'm using this with the Westcott Solix Compact LED light. The size of the Octabank and having the light close to my subjects creates beautiful catchlights with soft shadows, perfect for my little subjects.
Beautiful Portrait Light
This creates the most beautiful portrait light. I've taken this on the road and used flashes. The only difficulty I have is assembling it - the last couple rods are hard on hands. Also, I needed a detailed training video that was not available the first time I assembled it. Once I figured it out, once I had a little help with the last couple rods and, of course, once I shot many portraits with it and saw the light it produces, I fell in love with it.
Westcott's 5' Octabank offers a large circular light source that is only 26" deep and weighs less than 5 pounds. The Octabank is constructed of high quality flameproof fabrics. The custom designed internal baffle offers 2 layers of diffusion for a very even light spread of less than 1/2 F-stop light loss from center to edge.
