Not having seen a Rapid Box in person, I was pleasantly surprised when I opened it up. Well constructed, totally adjustable, compact. Love how the diffuser panel quickly slips over the perimeter, fastened in a few spots. It’s easy to position. I now see why it’s called RAPID. Don’t hesitate to buy this one if you need a portable softbox!

I love these rapid boxes (strip and octa), but I did not like the L bracket. I called Westcott and spoke with Jennifer (very pro). She recommended a Bowens Insert for Adapter Ring part 3502-INS. Just need to remove the outer mount plate for the L bracket and install the bowens ring. All you need is a screwdriver and about 10 minutes.

I used to use the Lastolight portable Hotrod Octobox which accomplished the same thing but the setup was so frustrating that I ended up always using their rectangular EZbox. The Rapid box gives me the best of both worlds. Love it!

Some what rapid? Wish the transition to the light stand bracket was easier then it is. Storage is very compact and tidy.

I love this thing! I have a Flashpoint bare bulb flash and a Zoom Li-on and they both fit neatly and securely on the included mount. You have a choice of using it as a straight softbox or with the optional beauty dish reflector. The beauty dish has gorgeous, diffused, even light. Highly recommended!

I just upgraded my lighting setup and purchased this umbrella with it. I love it so far, the versatility that it offers and the fact that it already has the bracket attachment for the speedlights. Easy to put together and take down, seems durable and light to carry.

Received this the other day. Nice build quality and easy setup. Was disappointed that it was missing the silver ring in the center of the fabric. Watched YouTube videos and it was present but the one I received didn't have it. Also, no center aluminum plate in lieu of the above. Other than that works good.

Shot wedding recently with my Nikon d800,24-70 2.8, and Nikon speed lights with the rapid box 26". Used the deflector plate with the front diffuser. Pictures small groups, and of the bride and groom's toast and cake cutting were absolutely beautiful. The very soft directional light created beautiful contrast, and there were no hot spots. the whites were very detailed, and were not blown out. I can't stop looking at my own pictures. I liked this light shaper so much, that I purchased the rapid box duo, and deflector plate. I know you'll love it if you try it.

Excellent wrap around light. Works well with remote triggers like pocket wizard. At 26 inches I thought the light source maybe too small but it mimics larger in studio modifiers but portable.

Haven't had this long and have not used it in every clime and place, but so far I love it. Used it with my 600EX speedlite and Canon 7D. On a light stand, it lets me get the light off camera, provides superb soft light that can model the subject. Well made and easy to set up. This is one of those things that really "delights the customer." I'd buy it again and would recommend it to anyone wanting to more fully use their flash.

I just received my 26" Octa softbox this past weekend. Really excited to take some photographs with it. The Build quality is Very Nice this is very important because i was on vacation this past summer out of the country and i had a portable softbox and it Failed miserably needless to say i looked unprofessional. NOW i can go on a shoot and feel confident and look like a Pro and shoot like a Pro with my New Rapid Box 26" Thanks Westcott. OHHHHH One last thing!! Don't forget to get the additional Deflector Plate for your Beauty Dish..... SWEEEEET. :-))))))

Great for location shooting.Light weight very easy to move around. Throws a lot of light.Even better when paired with 24 x 10 Rapid Box Strip. This also works very well if you have a small studio. Add the Rapid Box Deflector Plate to eliminate hot spots in the box.

A must-have accessory for anyone shooting with speedlites and seeking that soft light in a portable package. The 26 inch RB is great for head shots and small product or food photography. The optional deflector plate turns this into a nice beauty dish substitute and eliminates any hot spot issues when using the RB in a tabletop setup.

It's easy to assemble and disassemble for easy packing. Does not take up space which is excellent for where I'm living. Lightweight and durable, couldn't ask for anything more.
