My Rapidbox XL experience
I purchased this as I'm getting more into lighting and high-speed sync and wanted something light, durable, and easy to assemble for on location. A bit expensive I agree, but I've gotten past that hurdle and now enjoy the quality of photos. The deflector is a plus, but you wont miss it if you don't have one. I tried it as my key light in clam shell setup at home and was blown away with the quality it produced when used with the two diffusers. This is now my go-to octobox, hands down.

Each Rapid Box includes a removable 1-stop diffusion front and 1-stop inner diffusion panel. Skylux version includes a 1/4-stop diffusion panel.
