My Rapidbox XL experience
I purchased this as I'm getting more into lighting and high-speed sync and wanted something light, durable, and easy to assemble for on location. A bit expensive I agree, but I've gotten past that hurdle and now enjoy the quality of photos. The deflector is a plus, but you wont miss it if you don't have one. I tried it as my key light in clam shell setup at home and was blown away with the quality it produced when used with the two diffusers. This is now my go-to octobox, hands down.

Great portable octosoftbox, but pricey
If you do not want to put rods together for a softbox when out on shoots, then the Rapid Box series by Westcott is a fast way to have a 36" octosoftbox ready to go anywhere. It is well made and fairly easy to setup (unclicking the lock ring can be a challenge). The drawbacks are its price and that it does not come with a grid, nor is a grid even available for it.

Quality product
Decided to get into OCF, to expand my creativity as a photographer. Did a lot of research,Found Westcott to have a Great name and reputation. Good build quality and easy to use, loving the results in my portrait photo shoots. Would highly recommend Westcott.

Bowens Adapter Ring Speeds Setup
This box comes with 2 fabric diffusion panels which are not enough by themselves to prevent a hotspot with hte XPLOR 600. Make sure you get the deflector plate when you order this it helps a lot. $ is a lot of money for a modifier like this, it would have been a better deal if they included a grid with it.
