Excellent location LED
Not too big, not too small - this is an excellent location LED solution. The Wescott Skylux in 5500K daylight easily blends with natural light sources, no need to gel windows and doors. The LED power is very adjustable but a tad under powered. I've found that teaming two Skylux units is the right blend for my style of work. The Westcott 48" Skylux LED 1-Light XL Kit with Rapid Box is an ideal choice for photographers looking for a powerful, digital-friendly light source with a soft, wrap-around quality of light. The kit includes the Skylux LED Light with umbrella reflector, ballast with case, protective cap, power cord, 48" Rapid Box Octa XXL and kit case.
The SkyLux LED delivers 1,200 tungsten equivalent watts of output at a color temperature of 5,500K with a high Color Rendering Index (CRI) of 94. Wescott keeps the all-metal SkyLux lightweight by separating the flicker-free ballast from the head, allowing for a multitude of placement options. Dimming control from 30-100% makes excessive repositioning or use of scrims and ND filters unnecessary. The light comes with a silver parabolic reflector with an umbrella slot.
The included 48" Rapid Box Octa XXL is ideal groups, portraiture, fashion work or any field that requires its signature wrap-around quality of light in the studio or on the road. The softbox features sturdy aluminum alloy framework and removable interior and front diffusion panels. The Rapid Box lives up to its name, thanks to its built-in speed ring and compact, shallow design. A carrying case with a shoulder strap is included for storage and transport.
