I bought this as my first external video light. I wanted to use it for interviews. Being a still photographer, I have an assortment of softboxes, and this was the only fixture I could find that would use those boxes without having to invest in more adapter rings. The unit is well made, but overpriced for what it is. Just five light light sockets and three switches, and almost [$]. It is worth $100, tops. I was extremely disappointed in the little amount of light five of these 26 watt bulbs put out. Insanely dim. Additionally, there is no reflector you can put on this unit to focus the light.If you want to use the CFL bulbs, look at the Interfit Photographic line. For half the price, you get much more bang for your buck. Durability may not be as strong, and they can't use halogen, but the value is much greater, I feel.

it is easy to use my first time using flourscent lighting I like it because you see what you get.
