I have a complete loss a 5Khz in both ears. I was using Audicus hearing aids that cost ~$1500/2 a few years ago. These were <$40 for a pair onAmazon. I don't use the Audicus hearing aids any more. At least equal sound quality, much lower cost. The batteries last much longer, no problems with wax guards/cleaning, and they're about the same size. Not perfect in a high ambient noise environment, but neither were the Audicus devices. Finally, despite information to the contrary, 312 batteries are not a sub for LR754. Regards to All

I compare this with a Walkers Game Ear Elite Digital HD PRO 2 which is about 10x the price of this Ultra Ear BTE. So, while the BTE does provide volume and includes tone adjustment, the tone adjustment quality is inadequate for my hearing impairment. For an emergency it is better than nothing and worth the price

I bought these to supplement my hearing while my hearing aids are in for repair at the VA. I'm surprised by the sound quality of these. Granted not digital quality but great while my regular HA are being repaired.
