Needing a helping hand
I got these Plamp extension as a helping hand to hold flowers for my macro photography. I found them to work really well as a 12" extension and I even put two together on another arm, but I would not make one longer than 24" the longer it is the less weight it can hold steady. I also got the PP-211 Plamp II thumbscrew clamp and it works perfect for holding delicate flower stems. Plamp extension works perfectly
I like the plamp. I tried making one of my own and it never worked because the wire arm I used was too stiff and the clamps were too strong. My only concern with the Wimberly plamp was it's length.
