I had purchased two "slaves" to enhance lighting. Before I purchased, I scoured reviews, since there was no information available from the manufacturer or from the distributor as to how the product worked. One DOES require cords or powerpacks or somehting else,.....you'll have to figure it out. These DO NOT WORK, as some reviewers indicated, in that they do NOT flash when my brand new camera flashes. If they do, then no one is available to let me know how. I will be returning these products. What an incredible inconvenience because there is no information on technical specs or requirements. I made the assumption that they worked like the "slaves" I used years and years ago.

So far I have only used this slave in a studio type enviornment, but without fault. I have used the built-in flash on my Nikon D70 set to manual and 1/4 power to trigger studio strobes. The slave was plugged into a Novatron 600 watt box, sitting behind-3ft and below-3ft the camera. It has not failed to trigger the strobes.
