The Pointmaker CR-100 Courtroom Annotation System is a revolutionary tool designed to enhance courtroom presentations by enabling users to draw or highlight over details in documents, photos, slides, or AV images. This HDCP compliant system supports HDMI video up to a resolution of 1920 x 1200 and features HDMI audio pass-through for superior sound quality.
The CR-100 is equipped with a unique auto reset/reboot function and is compatible with a wide range of controllers, including approved touch screens, digitizing tablets, keyboards, and electronic whiteboards. The system allows for clear annotations on touch screens and offers unobtrusive reminder prompts in touch screen corners.
This courtroom annotation system was specifically designed with courtrooms in mind, following its groundbreaking use in the O.J. Simpson trial in 1995. The CR-100 model has been streamlined to meet the requirements specified by courtroom design consultants, making it easier to install and user-friendly for attorneys, judges, and witnesses.
The CR-100 operates on a "1-in-1-out" concept (HDMI in/out), simplifying installation. In large courtroom settings, the Pointmaker CR-100 can be connected as an input to (and output from) a matrix switcher, allowing annotation over any video looped through the CR-100. It can also be quickly connected in smaller courtroom installations that use only a laptop or document camera.
The CR-100 offers faster and smoother switching between AV sources connected to the Pointmaker, thanks to its refined features and simplified design. The system's case fits into a 1 RU and features all connections on the back panel, including USB. Rack ears are available on request.
The CR-100 is HID compliant, working with hundreds of non-HID (Human Interface Device) devices and recognizing HID-compliant touch screens, thereby expanding the list of compatible models. The system supports color printing to a Postscript printer and allows users to save multiple annotated images to a USB stick, TFTP, or by setting up a Windows Share on your computer for future viewing.
To help users practice annotations before entering the courtroom, a free PVI Trainer iPad app is available. With the Pointmaker CR-100 Courtroom Annotation System, courtroom presentations can be more engaging, effective, and efficient.
