Fits great on MXL 991 pencil condenser mic, and matches the grey color pretty well. Nice, smooth-surfaced, dense foam; not the porous, prickly, dust-catching, weak stuff you get with many other cheap brands. Got these because last time I played outside, the wind was making a lot of noise in my mics; unfortunately, haven't had a windy gig since then to find out if they'll work to prevent that. At the very least, they are dense enough to provide a little protection if mic is dropped or knocked over.
