I bought a few of these because I lost all of my Canon stands that come with the flashes. I find them useful in many situations. I don't know about other photogs, but they are a quick way to set a flash up somewhere. Well, these are decent enough, but it seems the manufacturing process varies between products. The screw mount underneath on one is great. The other though, was made without the metal threading hole all the way flush. Instead I have just sheer plastic, unthreaded, and the threaded metal is all the way down the hole. I don't want to say it is the worst manufacturing quality, but these could sure use some quality control. I was able to screw it in part way, damaging the plastic to achieve this, but not quite down to the metal. I am amazed Canon doesn't manufacture and sell them, besides on a new flash purchase. It boggles my mind. I wonder how many people go through these? I can't be just one of a very select few.
