About Whirlwind MIP1

The Whirlwind MIP1 is a two gang brushed stainless steel wallplate with a mono version of the Whirlwind pcDI computer interface device featuring RCA and 3.5mm stereo input jacks and an additional speaker input terminated with a 16 Ohm load resistor. The line and speaker inputs are summed together and sent to the Dimax transformer which balances the output signal and attenuates it by 20 dB. A Ground Lift switch breaks the ground connection between the inputs and the output screw terminal. The MIP1 plate has an additional female XLR for connection of a separate mic channel to the plate.

Whirlwind MIP1 Features

  • Ground Lift switch to help eliminate hum and buzz
  • Stereo/Mono switch for stereo operation or safely combine both inputs into a mono signal sent to both outputs
  • 20dB pad switch for connection to "hot" input signals
  • Uses Whirlwind's TRHL-M transformers with metal shield
