Better than the stock front sight

I installed XS front and rear sights myself on a S&W 586 L-Comp without too much problem, while referencing a YouTube instruction video. Although the 586 came stock with a Trijicon night "dot" embedded in the front iron sight, the dot is near microscopic in size making it pretty much useless in daylight and darkness, at least for my eyes. The XS, standard size, front night sight is a vast improvement and much more visible under both light and dark conditions. I just wish the small, non-glow, vertical white line on the XS rear sight was as visible in the dark. It's OK in the daylight but totally disappears in pitch black or near pitch back environments. Still, the XS sights as a whole are a vast improvement on the sights, especially the front sight, that came stock on the revolver.
