Very cool filter employment, I wish that the lens cover would adhere with a filter in place but other than that the system is very effective.

What a great aid for filter users ... not only for convenience but also to save the lens from being cross threaded in a rush to add a filter. -1 star for the possibility of knocking the filter off if struck from the side.

When I first saw these, my reaction was more laughter than desire, but as I thought about shooting the eclipse with the brief period of totality, I decided a quick way to get the solar filter off the lens would be a good thing. I ordered a set (2 items--camera ring and filter ring). They are so quick and secure, I will probably order them for both my normal and telephoto zooms. The only thing one could wish is a bit lower price.

This is amazing, use step rings or threaded lens hoods to step up to the same size filter for all your lenses, the magnetic cap from Xume is the best, saves buying extra mating ring, this is a 7 star out of 5.

The Xume ring is pretty awesome! The ring is made of plastic so getting it off of the lens or other filters can be difficult if it is screwed on tight, I found that using a silicone pad like a silicone pot holder and pressing on the face while twisting it off will get it off every time. The magnets are very strong and reliable without a fear of falling off and they even work excelente with circular polorizers and variable ND filters , I now have these adaptors on all my filters. The only thing is that you can not use a lens cap while this adaptor is on because there are no ridges in the inside to hold it in place.

I was very excited about this device and bought them for my Canon 24-105 and 16-35mm L lenses. I had read about the vignetting from some reviews, but was shocked how bad the problem is when you shoot wide. For my this is deal breaker. I really wish there was a better solution for using multiple filters.

The concept of this magnetic filter holder and lens adapter is ingenious, but it is important to me to have a lens cap on my lenses while stored in my photo bag. As it stands now, a lens cap will not fit over a filter using this system. I was told that Xume may be introducing a lens cap of their own that will work, but at an additional cost. Also, I found that my Tiffen 77mm variable ND filter will not work successfully with this system because it is heavy and I don't feel it is secure.
