I've had this amp now for a few weeks. This is an excellent audiophile-quality integrated amplifier. That is obvious in the weight (recommend two people lifting to avoid back injury), a peek through the air inlets (and web pictures) at the evident quality components, the flawless exterior, quality of materials, and of course the wonderful sound. It doesn't seem to add or subtract from the input material and is completely silent (no hiss) when the volume is turned up full. I don't see how one could beat the bang for the buck this amplifier offers. I do need to correct something on the Adorama website. The output is actually 2 x 90W at 8 ohms RMS, but given what I've already said, I'd bet the watts are understated by at least 10. The A-S1000 is the previous model now replaced with the A-S1100, which I wish I could have talked myself into if not just for the meters on the new model. But I am a very satisfied customer so far. I highly recommend this amp...unless you can talk yourself into the A-S1100. Also, from the standpoint of Adorama's service, they really know how to pack something to avoid damage.

Seems much more expensive than it costs, Sounds as good as most $3000 SEPARATE AMP AND PREAMP that I have owned. Very flexible with tone controls and dual speaker connections ie. A and B speakers hookups. Very very very musical and never fatiguing sound. Perfect for CD player.
