I am mainly using my 370 (named Rupert) for writing and learning on. I had a friend from work adjust the action for me but it was already way better than the one I was using previously (which was basically a solid laminate off-brand). I love this guitar and even though it is still pretty beginner level, it works for me for that very reason. I have barely used the electronics on it, but they work pretty great.

After being away from the guitar for over 30 years, I'm returning to it with this instrument, and I think I've made a great choice! The only problem I had was that the "Gigmaker" package I purchased didn't come with a strap string. Other than that, GREAT PURCHASE!

As an inexpensive laminated guitar, it doesn't need to be babied - which means you take it more places and have more fun. Mine was set up well and was very playable out of the box. Yamaha has been making laminated guitars for decades, so they know how to make them sound good.

I don't know what the guy above was complaining about as far as the guitar needing tuning. I replaced the strings with DR DDT series strings and was amazed at how big the sound is. It has the best reverb of any guitar I've ever played, the action is set perfectly; it plays like an electric. I fingerpick, and I find it very comfortable to play (I've even picked up speed since I started playing this guitar). It is lightweight, but doesn't feel cheaply constructed. It sounds big, it feels light, it is just a really good all-around guitar. The only trouble I had (at first) was keeping the string pegs for the E & A strings from jumping out when tuning. After a little fiddling, I got them to stay in, and they haven't moved. I received the guitar four days ago, and the strings have settled. The last time I tuned it was yesterday, and it still is in tune (after several hour long sessions of practice). The electronics are good - you can adjust the mid range independently for bass or treble tone, and mix that in along with the bass and treble sliders. It allows you to get a clean amplified sound that is close to the unplugged tone, or whatever tone you prefer. It's good, inexpensive, and fun to play.

Even if it is in laminated Spruce Top, it sounds pretty good and it has a really full sound. The action is a bit high but it is fair enough. The finish is flawless. Always love the natural color when it comes to acoustic guitar. Whatever you say, Yamaha is Yamaha, and there is no doubt about the product quality. Two thumbs up for you!!..Thanks

This was my first guitar. After over two years of usage, it still works just as new. It's a very sturdy guitar and works great for beginners. Though I'm not the biggest fan of its sound-- it can come off flat, even with new strings-- it's pretty great quality for the price.

The Yamaha FX370C Acoustic-Electric Guitar comes with a spruce top and nato back and sides. The compact, cutaway design provides excellent handling comfort and high-position access. Powered punch is assured with a piezo pickup mounted under the saddle.
