It has excellent sound and power. It works well with my IPOD and has an excellent display. Good sound quality. Looks and sounds nice in an apartment living room. Radio and CD also are excellent.

For it's cost, it delivers good performance for CD, FM radio,iPod and USB devices. Bluetooth would have been nice but I am sure that would have caused the price to be higher.

We purchased this as a gift for our teenage daughter. She loved it immediately. She has so much music on an old iPod and her iPhone that she already has quite a library to choose from. The sound for such a small unit is excellent. It's very easy to use. There could not have been a better starter system for her.

I bought this system for my off grid cabin. The first couple of tracks on almost every CD skip and have a disturbing clicking sound. I tested the same CDs on a low end system and a high end system. They played perfectly. I suspect the processor is inferior. I contacted the vendor and they suggested I clean the CDs. Apparently the sell the machines but don't under stand them. I should have bought the ONKYO.

I like everything at this product (excellent sound, easy to use and install). I do not like at all the remote control because it is not well finished. It has a sort of an adesive covering the plastic and in time it will sure be destroyed even on normal use. I would have expected a better one to be well balanced with the device that looks splendid.

All around great system for the money, I have my system in my garage, I added a Yamaha 100 watt powered sub-woofer to round out the sound and give it serious bottom or bass for depth.

I like Yamaha product. This mini sound system is very beautiful and stylish. Sound is nicely couloured and powerful. The use of the subwoofer output enhance strongly the sound quality. A line level output would be a nice feature to add. I would personnaly use it to hook a transmitter for outdoor wireless speaker. Base and treble control are nice but not easy to acess using remote.

The AM&FM reception is amazing! I've never been able to listen to my local morning news ,till now! I am also playing music through my Iphone with ease & better quality & clarity then CDs ,that are also great. The remote will do everything in a simple & easy design, I also like the back to basic, bass & treeble controls instead of listing it as jazz,rock etc.I only have 2 months of use,but so far very pleased!

Sound is good and the system seems very well made. The USB port is not at all reliable. The post will charge a device but unless the system was recently rebooted it will not play music through the port.

I just received the Yamaha MCR 232 system. It was pretty easy to set up and feels well constructed. The sound is great! It's nice having an AM/FM radio, plus the included antenna is able to pick up all the stations in my area.
