Purchased the pink radio for my office and then I brought it home. I have a BOSE only because I won it at work and there is no comparison. I was not expecting it to be as loud and clear as it was and it's still holding up after 10 years. This is a great quality and high end product. It's worth every penny.. You won't regret it.

I give this a unit a 3/5 ... Pros - Nice color, solid and high quality, Yamaha brand, easy to use controls & small size. Cons - Speakers have good sound but far too much bass and there is no way to adjust the bass or treble. - There is no way to connect this to an external speaker such as a Bose SoundLink with a 3.5 mm cord I had to return the unit because it just wasn't sufficient.

Perfect for an office or a bedroom. Low profile but big sound. Aux jack allowed me to connect my turntable (with the help of a phone amp and adapter).

This system sounds great for such a little profile but unfortunately I have to return it because the front panel does not work. Can only control from remote. Would have been 5 stars if worked out of box correctly

This Yamaha system is a great product I've had mine for eight years and no problems really good sound ..it's on in my house every day whether the radio or CD...just recently bought two new ones to give as gifts to family.

The system replaces a previous system that failed after 25 years of use. The inclusion of a CD player, FM/AM radio and an auxiliary input in the MCR-B043 provides all the source functionality of the system it replaced, and the new system was 1/5th of the cost of the previous system! So far I played a variety of different music from CDs and also listened some FM Jazz programming and am really pleased with what I hear. This system will be used for playing my CD collection of classical, jazz, sound tracks, holiday, and some popular music in the background while I am working on other tasks in the room. My experience so far with this system has been 100% satisfactory, exactly what I had hoped for.

Great unit and superb sound in CD mode. FM is another deal. Not a single station will indicate a stereo signal when the display is pressed on the remote. Always mono. Soooooooo disappointing. How can this unit pull in the weak ones but never in stereo.

Hooked up everything and turned it on. Went to program the presets for AM and FM. You WILL need to hook up the antennas for this. No internal reception at all. Went through the stations and set the presets. Then ran through the stations. Only the first preset was stereo. All the rest were mono, despite my living maybe two miles as the crow flies from the Phoenix antennas. Drove me nuts. Tried moving the unit from the back of the house to the front. No dice. Finally, as I set down to write a scathing review, I tried letting the unit auto-program the presets. Viola! Stereo EVERYWHERE. For some reason, if you manually change the station, you get mono. Don't ask me why. Apparently, that's true of the presets as well. You just have to delete the ones you don't want later

We wanted a small system for my wife's craft room. This is excellent - great sound, small footprint. Our main component system has a Yamaha receiver and amplifier, and we knew we would not be disappointed when we selected this unit. Very happy with our selection. Have bought Yamaha Audio before, and would not hesitate toi do so in the future.

The system will mainly be used in a shop. For its compact size, it has big sound. The only down fall, is that it should have a built in antenna. For a product that is so retro cool, it should really have a hidden antenna. That wire antenna to me ruins the sleekness of the system.

Everything is great. Very small negative is that one has to use the "zapper" to change the equalizer settings. I would prefer a button on the front, but this is small. I tried GMC and Sharp before this. Yamaha is the REAL QUALITY that I was looking for.

Using this in a large open kitchen. The bass resonates so well that I can hear it even in other rooms. Great clarity and ability to set the EQ for Mid, High, Low. I listen to FM broadcasts, internet radio via Bluetooth from my tablet. I have charged several devices via the USB connector. Used the AUX to listen to MP3 players etc. Excellent purchase! As a retired musician/music teacher I can emphatically say it makes my ears HAPPY.

FANTASTIC little radio component deck. Hides very easily in a book case/shelf. Speakers are deep so the sound coming from this little deck is GREAT! Speakers also hide very well behind pictures on a bookshelf (as an example). Everything is very clean and tidy. I've used it a few weeks and have no complaints. BT syncs fast once done, very clear, radio sounds great.....I want one of these in every color. Only nit pick is on BT using an iPhone you have to turn the volume up a little louder then while just using the radio (very minor thing). This is a common issue with any BT speakers so its not just this deck. Example, while at volume level 13 on the radio you will have to turn the volume to 18 or so for the same volume output on BT. Again, this a very minor nit pick. I wouldn't let this sway your decision on buying. AWESOME LITTLE DECK! BUY IN YOUR FAVORITE COLOR!
