Questions & Answers

Shopper : How do yoy do the set up?ANDREW R : Instructions for installation and setup should be included by the manufacturer.
Claude B : I have four sets of speakers, eight total. Four inside that I want to use for the TV and music plus four outside to play music mostly from a CD player input to the Yamaha. I was thinking of just using the surround sound front and back speaker pairs for TV and music and zone B for the outside four speakers so I could cut them on and off separately from the four inside. With only two speaker connections for Zone B I would have to connect one pair to each speaker output. That would make it 4 ohms instead of eight. Want to make sure the amp can handle 4 amps otherwise I guess I will need to buy a pre-amp. Any thoughts?WILLIAM G : I did this with my Dennon. I purchased a Pyle PCAU11 Mini 2x15 Watts Stereo Power Amplifier with USB Input, 110/220 Voltage Selector. It is great for the outdoors. Good luck!JOHN E : I am not an electrical engineer or a guru by any means, but your AV Receiver should be able to handle the 4 Ohm impedance without any problem, as long as you don't run the receiver at very high volume levels. Just stay in the half to 2/3 volume level or below and you should be fine. Ohm is a measurement of the opposition to the flow of a current in a circuit due to resistance. 8 Ohms is a greater resistance than 4 Ohms and therefore your amp would be meeting less resistance with 4 Ohms than 8 Ohms. Hence - you should stay away from the higher power output levels to keep from ruining the speakers. Just for clarification - You are talking about the speakers rating of 4 Ohms vs 8 Ohms aren't you?DARRYL A : I would consider using 2 speakers for outside zone b. Since that will be used in stereo for music not really a need for 4 speakers unless you are trying to cover a large area. 4 ohms should be fine if your receiver has that capability
