I bought this along with a new Yamaha 5.1 home theater receiver. It sounds really good I would definitely recommend this to anyone looking for a good subwoofer at a fair and reasonable price.

I think this is a great small cube with great base. To me this is the perfect companion for my Vizio 54" sound bar. Well worth the price.

Connected this to an existing surround sound system in my new house and it sounds wonderful. While watching Polar Express my 7 year old covered her ears when the train pulled up to the house! Awesome.

I use this for my home theater and it sounds great. Easy to install and super easy to use. I couldn't ask for anything better from a great company that always offers the best in performance and price. I would recommend products from this company to all my friends. Thank you.

I had to buy a new receiver and the subwoofer I had was not a powered subwoofer so it would not work with the new receivers I wasn't looking for anything big or expensive just a nice sounding subwoofer. Well I found not only a nice subwoofer with a great price but a great sounding one. This subwoofer makes you feel like your right in the movie, it sounds like its twice the size. You can't go wrong with this Yamaha. Great Sounding with a Great Price.

I bought this, when I saw the great price, for my matching Yamaha 5.1 HD receiver, that I love also. Adding the subwoofer completed the package, & what a crowning jewel. Looks great, & whole sound system is assume, comparable to any movie theater when watching DVD's, or awesome listening to anything. I let the receiver YPAO automatically adjust & balance the speakers for optimum sound performance, but their is a volume control button & on/off switch in back of the speaker. You have to manually turn on & off the woofer, but I don't consider that a con or rating deduction. I've only HEARD that there are some on the market that you don't have to do that. I have the receiver about 2 yrs. now, & woofer about 2 months, and I honestly couldn't be happier with the quality for the dollar! Happy listening!

The main reason I got this subwoofer was for "shake" my room when I play games. The quality of the sound wasn't my main objectives, although I'm also very satisfied with the sound quality. The power this box delivers is more than I need, and do the work great. Now I can also "feel" the game, though the chair and though my bones :), and I love it.

we were looking for a subwoofer with a small footprint and value and this fit the bill. it sounds fine but we are not home theater snobs...I think any subwoofer would do fine. We are happy with it.

I have the subwoofer connect to my home theater system via the Yamaha A840 AV receiver. The addition of the subwoofer has been perfect for my room providing the increased fidelity to bring out room expanding bass that takes the visual to new heights. Minor point: wish it had a automatic on/off feature. For the price and its superb handling of the low range audio - this was a huge win-win for me and my home theater syste. My 65" Vizio, JBL tower speakers and Polk center speaker are in nirvana.

deep sound, volume control, is a great replacement for my old system, the lower power level has a better price point and is perfect for my office.

My main sub is a $4,000+ in my HT; this replaced an older sub in my secondary system that blew its surround. This sub plays lower/tighter and is an amazing value for the money considering nobody else makes a servo sub below $700. I did have to buy an outboard crossover for my receiver's pre out/main in otherwise the sub would not be a good choice as you want it to only play below 90hz or so in most cases. I could buy over 40 of these things for what I paid for my main sub...having 2 in a HT with an AVR with a crossover would work very well IMHO.

I purchased this subwoofer to enhance the sound quality of my Yamaha sound bar. It does an excellent job, especially on music and movies. Most sounders are good, but need a good subwoofer. This fits the bill. The set-up was very easy, and the subwoofer looks good in my TV room. So glad that I bought this outstanding product.

I am using this speaker in an outdoor application in a screened in lanai in Florida. The speaker is tucked back near the house, so its out of the rain, but the sound fills our outdoor entertainment area perfectly, without a thumping base sound.

Replaced my very old RCA subwoofer with the SW012 sub. Connected to my Denon AVR-S710W Receiver. No problems with setup or integrating with the Denon receiver Dolby setup. Excellent bass response.

I thought long and hard before purchasing a sub. For performance, price, and size, this one is a winner.

This one replaced my 10" Sony woofer that died. It works great and equals and exceeds the performance of the old woofer. Easy setup and easy adjustments make it a dream.

This almost perfect cube; nineteen pound conveyor of sound, delivers Yamaha's bass resonator system that, as I understand it, increases--via sound wave excitation--in the subwoofer's enclosure, the amplitude of sound from the amplifier and directing this sound to your listening environment. All in concert via the incorporated one hundred watt amplifier within the subwoofer and the signal amp's negative impedance value, to hit those low notes (down to 28 Hz) for those heart thumping moments of film and audio. An 8-inch front speaker clad in black round grill cloth for protection (removable), with a side firing port (grey) delivers those finer auditory moments without distortion; adding dynamic low-end range and a feeling of "Oomph" to whatever source you are listening to--this is so important! Lest I forget, this unit is magnetically shielded so it won't mess with other system components. What a value in minimalist form. A tremendous over all value as well.

When used with a 5.1 amplifier it worked very well. But it has been tricky to get back the same boom using a surround sound 5.2 amplifier with an automatic speaker set up, The automatic set up balances the tone too well and I prefer having the bass heard more loudly. Still in the experimental stage with the new 5.2 amplifier though.

I needed a powered sub to add to my 5 speaker entertainment center. I decided to buy this sub, and I am so glad I did. I have it at 75% volume and it rattles my floors when watching movies. I am very happy with this sub.

I needed a decent woofer for a smaller home theater setup in a living room. This was the best match for the price. I like the size and the output, but it seems to not work as well with basic AV componet cables versus digital AV cables.

- Good value - Sound quality could be better, but pass the average score compared what you paid for - No remote control - No power standby mode ; meaning this unit has to be turn on all the time
