Purchased these speakers to use with a new RX-V679 Yamaha surround receiver delivering 90 watts per channel. Speakers sound great even at high volume. I use them primarily for tv viewing, however they sound quite good with music sources as well.

We pared them with our AV Receiver and 4K UHDTV to complete a Home Theater system. Our Christmas present to our selves. I'd like to be able to purchase individual components of this system to expand it to 7.1 surround sound.

I had upgraded the receiver in our main living room and wanted to setup my older RX-V473 in a smaller living room in the basement, (approx. 12'x12'), but didn't want to spend a lot of money on a new speaker system. I ran across this system while shopping online and contacted Yamaha Tech Support concerning using this system with my receiver and was advised it would work great for what I was looking for and they were correct. It's not near the system in our larger living room but works great for the smaller room and doesn't take up hardly any space.

I bought this to compliment the RX-V475 receiver that I purchased separately. At first I was skeptical due to the seemingly small speaker size, but wow was I impressed when I heard the sound quality the first time. While it doesn't have the high end sound that a much more expensive system would provide, it is perfect for watching movies and playing games in our standard size living room. I would definitely recommend this product and would buy a Yamaha system again.

We recently purchased this system to use with a receiver that we purchased back in 2009 (Yamaha RX-V365). For the price, this system is outstanding. The sound is clear and the subwoofer is impressive. We are using this system in our great room, and are enjoying it with games, action movies, tv, and music. We are very happy - awesome surround sound system for the price!

I needed a new surround-sound speaker system, and I preferred not to go broke buying one. This system was simplicity itself to set up, and sounds great in my front room. It's not a high-end super-fidelity speaker system, but I got much more than my money's worth. Highly recommended for this price point.

For such a small package, you get big sound! Great for BluRay movies and regular music! Set up was easy! Adjust the sub to your liking and enjoy! This is a great speaker system!

Teamed with my new Yahama receiver. It is an affordable but great sounding combo. It replace a 12 year old Bose Lifestyle system that I wasn't very happy with at all.

If you are on a budget and want the sound to seem like you paid thousands of dollars for it...then these speakers are for you. I was blown away. I hooked them to my Yamaha 5.1-Ch. Home Theater Receiver-RX-V371...and what a wonderful sound that came out of them. Well worth the little money I paid for them.

Purchased system because I was looking for an inexpensive speaker system with decent quality. Using with a Sony receiver and Toshiba 32 in. Tv in master bedroom. I purchased this Yamaha set slightly before Christmas. I would have to say that this may be one of the best purchases I have made. In the sense that it was inexpensive and the sound experience it gives is priceless. I am so happy with these speakers and they work great in my small/medium room. They are awesome for watching movies, tv, and definetly give the coolest experience while playing games. I love these speakers and don't plan on buying new ones for a long time. I was pleasantly surprised by the rich sound from the relatively small speakers. When initially unpacking the system I was disappointed by their diminutive size, but once they were hooked up (to a Yamaha V471) their sound output was amazing. The sound is rich and full, and easily fills the 14 x 40' room where our home theater is located. I have used their small footprint to "hide" the speakers in the room. All in all, I am pleased with the speakers (and the the Yamaha amp).
