I really like my RN303 receiver. It's mostly easy to use. The "hardware" is solid, but the receiver's interactions with MusicCast and Sirius XM are spotty and unpredictable. I bought this receiver specifically because of the MusicCast remote function capabilities, but have had difficulties getting on and staying on MusicCast and Sirius XM with two different cell phones. Because of these connection issues, I rated the RN303 a 4 instead of a 5 Otherwise, this is a lovely stereo receiver.

The netradio and server options are very nice. One issue tho, you can't save your place in a podcast. It just starts over The sound quality is clean. It isn't super powerful but it is fine for a large room One thing I would have really liked is a USB connector so I could directly listen to music that's on my computer

I needed a new receiver to drive my Snell, floor standing speakers. The Yamaha is just the ticket. It has all of the expected features including bluetooth. The sound quality is excellent. The best way to control the receiver is with the remote. The face panel is too dark to easily read the button labels. If you're looking for a piece of home gear at a great price, you found it. Yamaha just does it right.

First off. This deck Rocks! I use my stereo to jam with my guitar equipment. I am competing constantly with my half stack. This Yamaha 2 channel deck is exactly what I needed. The wattage is true and will drive some heavy speakers. The Bluetooth is very strong. My pc and deck are always going. Although don't forget this deck is able to be combined with an echo or other devices. And use the voice feature to play all of your favorite songs. Yamaha for the win. Btw the price is even better!

For years we have enjoyed a 20+ year-old Yamaha RX-496 receiver hidden in a cabinet in our living room. It is generally controlled with an infrared repeater mechanism (so that line of sight to an infrared remote is not needed) and Harmony remote system. It plays in our living room (A speakers) and outdoor deck (B speakers). It uses an Echo Dot (internet radio and Spotify, mostly) and TV aux for sound input. We rarely used the built-in AM/FM tuner components We decided we wanted some additional features, including the ability to switch the A & B speakers electronically (on our old receiver, A & B speakers could only be controlled from the front panel switches and not remotely); the ability to access our Synology media server content, and the ability to use Apple Airplay. The R-N303 coupled with the Yamaha MusicCast app has exceeded our high expectations. The receiver does all of these things we had hoped and allows us to access a variety of internet content relatively easily and set up favorites. It has plenty of power for our needs and was priced to meet out budget. After several months use it has turned out to be a great purchase.

Last year I decided to get back in to vinyl albums. I bought a turntable and a pair of Bluetooth bookshelf speakers. Growing up in the 70s with a really big component system, that didn't last long. I needed bigger and better. I began looking at vintage stereo receivers, no surround stuff for me, but 40-50 year old used electronics worried me. To my surprise I found this 100 watt Yamaha new for less than many used receivers. It produces a great sound, is packed with features, and supports turntables. My favorite surprise feature was Net radio, which literally opens the world to you, not to mention I can listen to Sirius XM If I'm too lazy to flip records. I am completely satisfied. I love my receiver

My yamah r-n303 stopped working and does not turn on anymore not even 2 months after it was delivered - quality is absolutely horrible and no support at all. Terrible just terrible - not worth 32 cents

This receiver sounds great, It has a lot of features, some were difficult to set up, like the WiFi. At 100 watts per channel it has enough umph to push my 150w 6ohm speakers with no problem or over heating. The front display could be a little fancier. Also it's too BLACK, making it to difficult to see the controls. I really would like to make this know to all electronic manufacturers in general. We need a better way to see the display! Other than that, I love Yamaha

The Music Cast app works really well. It is easy to use. I really like listening to Internet Radio and this app does it well. I hope it does not go obsolete. I have had that experience before and been left high and dry when the app author went out of business. Otherwise, the AM/FM tuner works pretty good considering my location from any major city.

Great little stereo receiver. I really enjoy the Bluetooth function and my turntable sounds great. My main issue is I run 2 pairs of power hungry 8 ohm speakers, so a 4 ohm load and the 100 watts kind of diminishes. I run a volume setting of 50 for normal listening. My old Yamaha V905 powered the speakers at about 25 volume. That's for the same sound pressure in the room.

The unit is great. I can play Pandora, Sirius XM, Internet Radio and other options I haven't explored yet. It plays through my home with wired speakers. I control it from anywhere in my home with my phone. I think it would also play through wireless speakers.

This is a great network receiver at a fantastic price point. It was pretty easy to set up and I love the integration with AirPlay and the streaming services such as SiriusXM and Spotify. It is great to be able to control everything from the app on your phone, including the source, volume, speakers, etc. It even has a sleep timer!

High quality sound. MusiCast was a real bear to ser up - took three calls to Crutchfield to ger it to work. Finally got it to work using Airplay. Not being able to cast Amazon Music is also a drag.

I was directed to the Yamaha R-N303 Stereo Network Receiver by John McDonnell, the owner of Audio Lab. It suits me perfectly. I have my Radio, CD Player, Phonograph, and love the wifi streaming for my Spotify and Sirius XM accounts. The Music Cast app and control of all these options is a dream come true. The receiver is compatible with my Klipsch speakers. The price fit my budget and I don't think I'll ever have to replace this receiver. I believe it will serve me for a long time.

Impressive unit. I hooked it up to my network and was able to stream my digital content without any "fuss". The phone pre-amp and tuner are nice too. My only complaints are there is no balance control and to stream service like Sirius/XM I have to use my phone.

Excellent stereo receiver
By Tasos
Got this receiver to drive 4 Bose 251 outdoor speakers. It works flawlessly and the sound is great, much better than my old Sony it replaced. No streaming issues or interruptions. I was looking basically to stream music from my phone while sitting in my backyard. The MusicCast app works very well. It is a basic receiver with not many sound adjustments, just bass and treble, but at this price point I was not expecting more. My speakers are not of the highest caliber anyways and the whole set u...
