very impressed with the sound using Bluetooth or blueray. Unhappy that I am unable to use both bi-amping and zone 2, it's either one or the other. There should have been some info that you could not do both. All in all very happy. It replaces a Pioneer VSX950 that I thought was broken, turns out the cats had pulled speaker wire out. Wifes not too happy, I'm ecstatic.

This is a very elegant looking receiver and packed full of functionality but with a clean design. I am pleased with the receivers ability to perform and the sound is phenomenal! I have had an occurrence where the receiver lost the connection to our WiFi and it was a little difficult to determine that this was the case.

I was dedicated to Pioneer for my AV / Home Theatre needs. However after my Pioneer Elite VSX 60 died from a UE22 Error. This was clearly related to a Texas Instruments bad chip that Pioneer knows about but will not stand behind. I went on a search for not only a new AV receiver but a new company to put my faith into! After a very long search through AVR Forums, talking to the Tech that repairs AV receivers and company information I decided on Yamaha! Next was which Yamaha AV receiver was for me...I chose the RX-A750 for my bedroom surround setup. I have been very happy with every aspect of the RX-A750. It fit my price point and features needed. I highly recommend you to take a look at Yamaha and the RX-A750! After my hard work was complete my enjoyment is to listen to it...Enjoy! Ed

great performance, user friendly. Not knowing what to expect, we hired a professional to install it and set it up. He then walked us through the operation and checked everything out for us.

Love this receiver. I replaced my older Yamaha with this one because my older one did not have HDMI connections. The sound is excellent and it has a ton of features. It also has (2) optical connections, so I was able to connect my (2) 300CD changers to it. It has an HDMI ARC connection that allows sound from the TV to come back to the receiver, which is a must if you have a smart TV and want Youtube, Netflix, etc. to play in surround sound. At first setup I lost a bunch of features my old receiver had (watching TV using the TV sound, listening to Youtube in surround, etc.) , but I was able to get them all back by customizing the setup. There are only (2) things that are a slight negative: I did not like the YPAO function. It was good for determining speaker distances, but it set all my speakers to large and the subwoofer to 40hz. It also gave me different errors. I used it to set the distance, then customized the speaker settings and it sounds great. The other thing is watching TV while listening to Music. Not a big deal but you have to go to the HDMI settings and change the sound input to whatever device you want to listen to and then change back to HDMI when done. One last item I love is that you can listen to stereo in 7.1Channels instead of 2 speakers. I use this all the time and I have been told that Yamaha is the only company that can do this. Be prepared to spend a lot of time learning all of the setup options and features. Will need to read the manual thoroughly.

Purchased the Rx 479 returned due to shuffling through hoops to go from satelite & dvd... Etc. For a couple hundred more thought id take the advice of the sales guy and move into the rxa750 aventage! Its pretty good as far as sound- the speaker hooks are built for little fingers- the display on the front should be lower on the front panel . My wife doesnt think the 4k pass through is near as nice the RX479. Did a firmware upgrade wireless - and it actually worked! No hassles just hook up to wireless for 15 minutes- turned power off and back on- messaged me - followed The instructions no hassle no problem. Although after 600 and change why should This thing need an upgrade??. The bluetooth feature is really nice- and it works great! My iphone plays very clear ! Also i should add - purchased a samsung 4k 55 curved tv and Netflix sound was skipping and popping- soon as i upgraded to the Yamaha 479 and now to the 750 - both have 2.2 with 4k upgrading ------ no more Netflix issue. Not thrilled about the price - in fact if i was to do it all over id get something like the RX-v579 7.2. All in all im happy with yamaha products. Make the remote buttons for a man- larger lettering for 40 plus eyes.! YPAO is really a great plug n play feature- was very easy and works great! Plug the microphone thing in - place it in the room--- few beeps and tweets -- done! Tested it immediately with a blue ray movie and some tv shows . Set up was perfect! I do recomend yamaha- only spend what you can afford the sound quality doesnt really fluctuate with cost- they just add features IMO only!

Overall good quality receiver. I do have to say the sound quality is outstanding. I went from a Onkyo to the Yamaha and there is clear difference. The 4K upscaling is noticable but not a major improvement. The biggest issue I had was using HDMI ARC. Between my Samsung TV and the Yamaha receiver, it would consistently change the input to Av4 and lose sound. Finally had to turn it off and use an optical cable. I was also disappointed wit the remote, compared to the Onkyo this was a major let down. Far less friendly and much harder to use as you single remote for all media devices.

Great sound, many nice music enhancement settings. Beware, learn how to use the built in EQ to get a better music audio for your music concerts and CD's. The preset options and settings are more towards movies as the Mid range is set way too high for music. Adjust your EQ like the old V-shape analogs and notice huge improvement for your sound. Overall very nice sound and easy to set up. Would recommend.

I absolutely love this receiver. The sound is incredible. I love the wifi connectivity and streaming music via Pandora or from my iPhone with Airplay. I have a second outside zone on my lanai and the two zone feature is fantastic. Love also being able to have independent inputs for the main zone and the second zone. Lastly, the iOS app is fantastic. I use it more than the remote. It is very powerful and user-friendly. Great job Yamaha! I highly recommend this receiver.

Great receiver. I also like the ease of setup and calibrating the speakers. I do wish the user interface was a little better. I do wish it came with a paper manual, but i'm getting used to using the pdf version.

I updated my previous Yamaha Receiver (RX-V740) with the RX-A750. The technology improvement is vast. This unit oozes quality, versatility and connectivity. It works with my network and all the Apple devices flawlessly. I can't comment on video, not without a 4K picture, but the sound quality is as good as I think I can perceive. I elected to not worry about Atmos and go with the less expensive 750 but the options packed into this unit still gives great value and return for your money. I also liked the 4 year warranty. The AV app works great also, so the remote is replaced with a device.

This is a replacement for another receiver in service for about 10 years. After about a month, I am very pleased with this Yamaha RX-A750. Initial setup was very easy except for having to go to another room to consult the Emanuel. (I never would have been easily able to see it on my phone and I just prefer concise explanations) I recommend that when you have it setup the way you want, use the memory guard to prevent accidental changing of settings. The second setup was more difficult, my own fault. I will try to redo a review after additional time with the A750.

Set up in my home theater room. Using only for 5.1. Great sound. If you have a bigger room, you can make it 7.1. Best value for your money.

This receiver was the easiest to setup of all the Yamaha receivers I have owned. The YPAO in particular has been improved over the previous versions. But, the output power seems diminished compared to the DSP-A3080 that this receiver replaced. The single use remote is refreshingly simple compared to the previous remotes that were very difficult to setup and use for multiple devices, but lacks versatility. And the manual is only electronic in format, making it difficult to use without a tablet or laptop nearby. One confusion that remains about decoding - Yamaha does not tell you whether you need to set the decoder if all decoding is done in the receiver, or whether the receiver automatically detects and performs the proper decoding.

This a very good piece of gear. Good price point, very competitive. It has been a great replacement for my Bose Lifetime system.

I have 3 Yamaha receivers and they all have good sound and were easy to set up. Two "other" brand receivers have died between the last two Yamaha's, so now I stick with a proven brand.
