Hello All, I just had one issue, no sound and had to reboot by unplugging the unit. After rebooting all is normal. Any other issues with this unit?

Trigger out port not working. Emailed support 3 times ( 3 weeks period) no response. Called phone support yesterday, was told issue will be elevated to 2nd level support and someone will call in 24 hours.. nothing. Your supports sucks like a 5.0 hp vacuum cleaner.

This is a nice receiver with plenty of inputs. Dolby AMOS is a plus. I am using Definitive technology speakers for Front, rear, center and height. Really satisfied.Love two subwoofer outputs

I bought this receiver to serve as a secondary setup in the sitting area of our bedroom and to work with an in-wall speaker system in a 5.1.2 arrangement. When I initially set it up I was blown away at the imaging, clarity and power in the sound. It creates an awesome sound stage and the amount of features is incredible. It easily compares to higher end competitors that cost more and blows away the other mainstream receivers in the market with similar features.

I just bought this receiver to replace my (virtually the same) 30-plus-year old Yamaha receiver. That receiver was working fine until it was hit by lightning. This new receiver sounds absolutely great (with the 30-plus-year old Yamaha speakers)! Superb quality! I fully expect this new Yamaha receiver also will last at least another 30 years!

We use the system as a home theatre in our great room to watch movies and listen to music. My sons and I love the smooth sound it produces through our 5.2 setup with a Zone2 out on our terrace. Prior to installing this AV receiver, we had an older model for almost 9 years that only had 3 HDMI ports and required me to use a switch to connect three devices to one of the HDMI ports. The RX-A860 offers 7 HDMI ports which we surely needed.

Love it! I replaced my Pioneer Elite VSX-52 and am glad I did. Much much better sound, so many more inputs. Perfect, just perfect.

It is a superb home theater device. It functions well with other remote devices;i.e., Harmony. External devices easily connect.

This was a home theater replacement for an 8-year-old Denon receiver that died in a power surge. The Yamaha RX-A860 is much easier to use and customize than the Denon it replaced. Controls make sense. The RX-A860 manual is much easier to understand than the cryptic Denon manual which I could never figure out. The integration with my SiriusXM account is terrific. The receiver also incorporates Apple's AirPlay technology which makes it easy to play audio from my iPhone into the receiver. The RX-A860 improved my TV picture as well as providing excellent sound. The iPhone app is easy to use and includes lots of features that are handy to have at my fingertips. I highly recommend this receiver.

This is the 3rd Yamaha AV deck I've acquired since the late '90s. The other 2 are still going strong. Reliability is foremost when I'm either upgrading or setting up another room for full fidelity sound -- in a home where there is no tolerance for ear-fatigue. Right now, our RX-A860 is driving a nearly 30 year old set of DCM Time Frame 700 speakers. They're responding with the same full high and low ranges they pushed when they were new and being pumped with 160 watts per channel. Can't wait to add an external amp. I've come to expect nothing less from Yamaha AV decks because they deliver without breaking the bank. I strayed once and regretted it. When it comes to product reviews, I am no pushover. I've neither received nor been promised anything for what I've said.

I love this receiver. I bought this receiver because it has every feature I was looking for, and I am entirely satisfied with it. It has Dolby Atmos and DTS:X support out of the box (which gives it an edge over the RX-A850), a phono input, so no need for a separate preamp, and plenty of HDMI inputs. I was pleasantly surprised how easy it was to set up and use the receiver, and I even an impressed by the iOS remote control app. Apple AirPlay works flawlessly as well. Great job, Yamaha, and also my appreciation to Crutchfield for their extremely quick shipment and quality packing. Definitely a happy return customer. There's really nothing I'd hope to better. Great value / performance / quality.

I purchased this unit to upgrade my system to include Dolby Atmos and DTS X. I upgrade from the Yamaha RX V663, which provided years of enjoyment and made me a fan of Yamaha. I knew the Yamaha RX-A860 would include the latest technical features, such as Internet Radio, Musiccast, Atmos, etc. What I did not expect was the awesome onscreen user interface and the Yamaha Audio Video app, which allows you to use a smartphone or tablet as a remote. The Dolby Atmos and DTS X sound format will blow you away. Even non Dolby Atmos and DTS X movies receive a significant perceived boost in performance from this unit. I purchased and added the Klipsch Reference Premiere RP-140SA 2-way speakers to my existing Klipsch Reference 5.1 speaker system. The RP-140SA are a great addition and get the job done. The RX-A860BL includes Atmos setup based on add on Dolby Atmos speakers, ceiling speakers or height speakers. Fantastic sound and fantastic video. I believe the unit improves the quality of the video. Movies look better than ever.
