An enquiry
Does this product use 240 volts. Saw on '220 electronics' website that it can be switched between 110-240 volts but cant find that at the back of the receiver.

Great upgrade
Upgraded to 4K TV and this receiver. Could not make the system work, fought it for hours. Web site was no help. Called dealer and he was no help 1st time. 2nd time he walked me through advanced set up to change to 4K TV mode. then everything worked. No mention of advanced set up anywhere.

So much better than my old Onkyo
The setup was super easy. The user interface is very user friendly. The sounds are awesome. Overall it is a really good receiver for a 4K 5-channel setup.

I love it
I use it for movies and music. I like the simplicity and user friendliness of this receiver. It is not a unit that will require you to go to college and take a Receiver-101 class for you to learn how to use. It is simple and straight forward. I like the fact that I can connect my speakers using banana plugs, a must for me, and a plus for the receiver. The sound quality is great. I have a 4K player connected for movies and I use my computer for music. The sound environments are clean and leveled when it comes to movies, and for music, for which I only use stereo, I have to say that it sounds really clear as well.

I know that heading sounds odd, but for those oldies who have not purchased a receiver for many years, it is very relevant. I always liked separate components, i.e., tuner, preamp, amp, and so forth. This is a killer box, with wi-fi that allot allows for beautiful streaming music, just gorgeous. A key point, in use as a stereo (non-surround), there are settings that allow you to utilize all 5 channels for a great sound. I use 5.1 for movies et al. The sound options are varied and sophisticated. I am still learning how to use this after two weeks. The manual BTW is extremely well written, hats off to whoever did that. The MusicCast software is amazing.
Bottom line, I have not enjoyed listening to music this much since I was in my early 20s, and that was a very long time ago. Yamaha did a terrific job with this receiver.
The sound is clean, rich, powerful.
