The product does the job. For the price it has good bass from the sub and ok highs. Its downfalls are it does not have enough volume and the auto shut off is great except it does not have auto power on when everything else is powered on i.e. TV or computer and playing.

This is an excellent soundbar to use with an ultra thin OLED TV. Base is adequate with the wireless subwoofer.

The sound was great. I really like it for that. However, it was advertised as being Alexa compatible. We use Alexa devices in our home for a lot of things because my daughter is disabled & needs voice commands for operating as much as possible. This sound system would not do things like "go to Netflix" or "rewind" or the usual things we use our Alexa fire cube for. I tried putting the cube in line with the sound bar, but that didn't work either. The fire cube would no longer do its usual functions. Once the sound bar was disconnected, and the fire cube directly hooked to the TV, the Alexa functions were back to normal. I had to return my sound bar because of these issues. I ended up purchasing something else that did not claim to be Alexa compatible.

The product is easy to set-up, easy to use, has simple design with an amazing sound quality at its category. I would be using this product for watching movies and music listening. One thing that i dislike about this product is the lack of adjustment for auto power off.

This soundbar and subwoofer combo sounds amazing and adds new depth to my games, and TV shows. And I'm not even using it's full potential. I never connected it to WiFi, Alexa, nor used the set up app through the phone. I didn't even set it up with the HDMI cables. I just plugged it into the power outlet, and used Bluetooth to connect to my Nintendo Switch. Adjusted the subwoofer volume, turned on the 3D surround sound and have enjoyed ever since. Highly recommend it.

compared to my brother's JBL 2.1 Deep Bass. the sound is way more open, clearer, as long as you don't forget to disable all the default sound compression that ruins the sound. one thing I've noticed, is audio delay(lip sync) problem when audio format is set to PCM on my LG TV, when I set it to passthrough is seems fine. I wish Yamaha could adress this via software update. the bar LEDs info are hard to understand, the JBL LED matrix display is miles better. the JBL is all bass, without any real quality to the sound, its bar sounds like TV cheap speaker, with muffled sound, the Yamaha Yas 209 on the contrary has open and warm "sound signature", you can hear small nuances in movies and music that you missed before, bass is deep and controlled, not over to top,(I set it to +2), without bass extension enabled. a true masterpiece for this price range please yamaha , fix the audio delay.

I have connected to my TV in the living room of 15 ft * 10 ft. Clarity of audio output is real good and able to identify much of the musical instruments even with bass on.

I've had this for over 2 years now, it got me through the pandemic. There's a few software glitches worth mentioning. 1) I use the spotify integration, so I switch the spotify app on my phone over to the soundbar, but the volume control doesn't work, and the workaround is you have to select the soundbar, deselect it, then select it again. Then you can adjust the volume from the spotify app. 2) If you use the ARC receiver for the TV, there's a glitch where periodically the tv tries to switch back to the ARC receive sound when I just want to use the TV speakers. But if the soundbar isn't on the TV mode, it just appears like suddenly the sound goes mute. And you can't figure out why the sound just randomly cuts out. So I have to leave the ARC disconnected when I don't want to use it. And when I do want to use it, sometimes the TV audio randomly cuts in. Bottom Line: The sound is excellent, but those two glitches have never been fixed, and it makes it so I constantly have to fidget it, making it hard to use. Spend a bit more money and get a Sonos or something.

Set up was a little tricky, but overall not bad. The color and design is nice. The sound quality is great, the 3d surround sound feature was awesome! The subwoofer was very powerful and perfect for our basement use.

Yamaha continues to be the best in the industry! I've owned a number of sounds bars over the years and this is the best sound bar i've used. I currently have it setup to a 75" LG 4K TV. The features are endless with the YAS-209 Sound Bar. It's great for movies, video games, and music. The build in Alexa, easy setup (HDMI plugin and automatic subwoofer connection), 3D surround sound, Spotify connection, Wi-Fi, or Bluetooth make this product amazing! I would absolutely recommend this product to anyone. One of the best on the market!

I have never had a soundbar before so when we attached the YAS-209 Soundbar to the TV, I was blown away! It immediately felt like I was at the movies, what an amazing difference it made! It was very simple to set up, took maybe 10 minutes max. I don't know much about these types of products, but I am definitely impressed. I would recommend this product.

When I receive my YAS? 209 sound bar with wireless subwoofer and Alexa built-in I couldn't wait to tear the box open and set it up. The sound bar was the perfect addition to my master bedroom. I have a 55" TV in there but I've been having to settle with the original audio which is less than great. The sound bar was very easy to set up following the instructions provided from und boxing to TV within an hour and I was able to sync it to my Alexa account which is an added convenience. My husband and I are parents to a toddler who need to go to bed early and gets distracted with the TV lights so our weekend date nights at home have migrated from The living room to the master bedroom. The sound bar is sleek and thin which makes it visually appealing and a seamless addition to our TV set up. The amp box doesn't take up too much room. I placed my line between my dresser and my full length mirror. The sound is noticiable amplified after adding the sound bar and it has made our morning jam sessions and movie nights a more enjoyable experience. And the convenience of having Alexa is something I never knew I needed. It functions as my alarm, my reminders and I am able to ask questions to Alexa on the fly. 10 out of 10, would recommend.

Had a few sound bars over the years but this is by far the most capable. Fairly easy set up. Good sound. Only thing I would want is a deep pitched bass. Great sound modes and voice mode is genus.

This soundbar provides superior surround sound without any extra speakers or subwoofer. It was a simple setup that my husband had done in less than 15 minutes and provides excellent performance with an abundance of feature and connection options with the bonus of the alexa built in. I am enjoying this Yamaha soundbar and subwoofer. It sounds amazing. Extremely clear and does not crack up even at the heaviest and fastest beats. I really like the wireless subwoofer included. Everything was easy to set up right out of the box. It took just a few minutes. It has an app that can be downloaded to control the soundbar with as well as being able to cast from spotify straight to the soundbar. Makes it very easy to entertain.

The YAS-209 Sound Bare and Wireless Subwoofer with Alexa Built-in is a great product. The speakers came in a very solid manufacturer's box! Getting the product out of the box is what took the longest in setup. The product requires an HDMI cable to set up which was not included. Luckily I had one available and was able to get the soundbar connected in no time. As far as the subwoofer goes all you have to do is plug it in and turn it on as the devices come pre-synced. I was able to play a television program and the sound came right out of the speakers with no problems. The volume was even able to be controlled by my television's remote without any setup! If you want to add the speaker to your wireless network and stream Spotify or use Alexa you have to download an app to set it up. The most difficult part of this process was finding the correct application in the store. I would suggest providing a QR code that directs users to the correct app for their device. Nonetheless, I am pleased with this speaker setup! I have already recommended it to colleagues who looking into wireless speakers.

This sound bar is excellent! We watch a lot of tv, movies, sports, and listen to music so I was so excited to experience this sound bar. It's sleek and easy to operate! The only issue I had was there isn't an HDMI cord included with the system for set up with a smart tv. I was super sad when I opened up the box and set it up only to realize I needed to go to the store to grab and HDMI to connect it to our tv. Other than that, it's a great sound system!

I've noticed especially in action movies is really enhances the experience for us. I've used only one other sound bar in my life and this one definitely delivers a more steady stream of sound.

This beautiful sound at and subwoofer sounds amazing in my home. It is great for hosting parties or having the perfect movie night. Some days I have concerts because of the amazing sound effects. You can use Alexa which is amazing when you're not near the remote. I did get tripped up in the installation of cords but eventually figured it out. I love switching between clear voice and 3d surround sound. I am in love with this product and want another one for the master bedroom upstairs! If you're on the fence, just buy it. It's a great investment.

This is a really nice unit. It's long and sleek soundbar is elegant looking and has a hefty subwoofer to go along with it. I found the sound to be pretty clear and loud but the bass felt lacking, as is the case with many mid tier sound bars. This is even with the Clear Sound and Bass boost options ticked on. The 3D sound option took away from the overall sound I felt but was still a cool option for some movies. It has Alexa built in which is cool for those that use it or don't already have one built in. It has Arc hdmi out and also option for ethernet and optical, as well as Bluetooth, so you will have different methods of connecting. Overall I do like it a lot, and will continue to enjoy using it, however I have to say I was a little unimpressed overall. If this is ever on sale under $300, I'm not sure there is a better unit for the price to feature ratio.
