This is an excellent low cost Dante IO interface- The preamps sound fine. IMNSHO, folx's preoccupation with "How the preamp sounds" is misplaced. It's the LEAST important component of the system. No on'e live music experience got ruined or significantly enhanced because of a preamp. Lack of gain sharing limits usability in some scenarios, but id you need that, buy a Rio.
