I purchased this after reading many positive online reviews and I am delighted with the purchase. I bought a very large Sony 4k TV and along with it a 500.00 Sony sound bar. I could never get the bar to work correctly with the TV and after a couple days of changing plugs around and a lot of trouble shooting I took it back. I bought the YAS-106 took it home plugged it in exactly how I had the Sony bar set up and BAM! it works perfectly with my TV. The sound is good, don't need to be knocked over and love the ease of use. I highly recommend this bar if you want good quality at a very reasonable price.

The Soundbar is simply a steal. You would have to spend a lot more money to get any real improvement. The remote is well-thought out and has some very useful features. Connectivity is good and as an extra bonus - there is a sub out if you want to add serious bass. I can't wait to add a sub and try out the bluetooth. The bass that the soundbar makes on it's own honestly amazes me. You can even mount it on a wall or use it sitting flat. This thing is a no-brainer.

Not only I use it to watch movies and cable tv, I also use it for music, thanks to bluetooth.

This is pretty good sound for the money. Using this in the bedroom with aging Sony 21" TV. Sound is obviously much better than the TV. I had to get an HDMI switch for the input. I have Directv and Apple TV to watch. Built in woofers are good enough I felt a puff of air from them. I was able to program all the functions into my Logitech Harmony One with no problems.

Could use a little more power (wattage) A led screen would be nice on the front to show mode.A volume indicator % would be good, because when you turn up the volume on the sound and subwoofer you can't tell the level it's at. All in all a very good sound bar for 32 inch tv.

Initially I used and external subwoofer with the YAS-106 and then tried the sound bar without the external sub. The YAS-106 built-in subs are so good that you do not need an external subwoofer. Neither my wife nor I could tell the difference between the 2. The improvement over TV speakers is very obvious the first time its connected up and music using the bluetooth connection is full and rich, very beautiful. We were using the Bose Soundlink III prior to getting the 106 for music via bluetooth. While the Bose is very good I'd rate this sound bar as a definite step up from the Bose. Couldn't be more pleased with Yamaha and the 106. Great product!

The sound quality is a great match for my subwoofer. It gives my 4K-UHD system the best video for its audio output. I'm looking into the possibility of getting a receiver or an amplifier for more power.

I am enjoying my new sound bar. Set up was very easy, and I am no techy. I keep the clear sound turned on all the time to help hear dialog. It has great sound definition even with no external sub woofer. I don't need my windows to rattle. I do wish it had volume leveling ability. I turn it up so I can hear dialog, but then a commercial or music comes on and is way too loud. Overall I am very happy with my speaker. It is smaller and looks great in front of my 55" TV. Good purchase. I bought this as a refurb. It said there was a small blemish on it. I never did find the blemish. Looks good to me. It was still in the original box.

Good value for a Yamaha sound bar with built-in woofer: just the ticket for use in a small room with a 50" TV. The bass is adequate for the the type of music I listen to at a bearable sound volume. Easy to install. Wish there is an LED light in front to indicate power on/off.

I asked the roku questions and answer site for advice on a sound bar. The answer came from a very pleased buyer of this product. I took his advice and am very pleased with the performance. Wonderful sound, love this bar. I have another roku and will purchase this one again.

Works great during sports broadcasts. I can understand the announcers when crowd noise is intense. Not so with my TV speakers.

Wanted to get better sound when just watching regular cable TV without cranking up the Yamaha/Bose sound system - due to poor quality of speakers on large TVs. Only hitch was getting it set up to allow the cable remote to control volume. All it took was reprograming the Charter cable remote with a different code number to match it to the Sony TV. After new code was entered everything worked great. You should add a note in the instruction manual suggesting purchasers try this method if they use cable remotes. Saw this suggestion on internet site where sound bars were reviewed.

This is a great product for a great price. Researched many sound bars....this had good features....HDMI, blue-tooth, easy to setup and easy to use......Clear Voice, Good bass (which can be expanded). Wanted something low tech and low profile.....that would compliment our 55" TV w/o lots of wires....and speakers every where....Works well with our basic blue-ray player......This sound bar is perfect for our needs!!!

Fantastic sound bar - I would highly recommend. Surprising bass for a unit w/out an ext. sub. The "Clear Voice" is an excellent feature. Overall set up and hook up is very easy, especially w/ an ARC HDMI connection. One caveat, and I hope this is helpful to some of you: IF YOU USE A ROKU - you will need to NOT plug the ROKU into the back of the bar, but instead plug into your TV. Then, in your ROKU settings, under "Display", click off the max. resolution that is currently marked to a different resolution - it doesn't really matter which one. Execute the change, and then exit that portion of the Settings menu, and then go right back to it. You then re-select whatever your TV's max. resolution is (ex. 4K UHD), and then execute that new selection. This is the only way I found that the ARC interface will "fully communicate" between TV, Sound Bar, and ROKU. You'll then be able to use your existing Remote Control to control the Volume.

This is an excellent soundbar for the price and a huge improvement over the speakers in my TV. Paired with a powered subwoofer, the sound on this is very good. A great value for the price!

Owned 02 soundbar of different brand before and came acrossYamaha soundbar in Audio shop. The low price tag coming from Yamaha caught my attention and tried the sound within 5 minutes i bought not 01 but 02 Yamaha soundbar. Love the fact that i can purchase a seperate subwoofer if the bass is not deep enough end up i dont need it as the built in subwoofer was deep rich. Thank you Yamaha. Im enjoying it now

I purchased this to replace a YAS-101 that the cat knocked on the floor and died. The sound bar, not the cat. We liked our old Yamaha sound bar and so purchased the latest model, YAS-106. The profile is slimmer, and we like that. The sound is good, better than before, we think. However, the old model had a feature where those super loud commercials would be reduced to match your set volume. A very nice feature, and one that the YAS-106 does not have. The ability to slave the remote for your TV or set top box to the volume control for the sound bar is now limited to some kind of advance HDMI connection which our TV does not have. This feature is effectively gone for us, too, so we now have to deal with two remotes again. The light indicators are on top, so we can't see them unless we mount the unit on the wall. Not sure why some of these changes were made, but they make the experience of this new unit less pleasurable for us. My advice is that if you have an older TV, you should take a pass on this model.
