I simply wish Yamaha would resurrect this... On higher end amps, this is invaluable - as even today in 2022, BT is not included.

I know Bluetooth technology is old hack now, but in my opinion this is the best of the 3 Yamaha accessories; wireless adapter, iPod dock, & Bluetooth with digital output. It seems like the output algorithm is not a given either. I use a stereo closet, 6 ft high quality coax and USB power to a man cave USB outlet. I love it, suggest it for all, Yamaha or not.

We replaced an older receiver with this unit as a couple of the inputs on the old system had quit, and the remote didn't work. We had no idea what we had been missing! This receiver is really the icing on the cake for our home theatre. The quality of sound, ability to control via phone app, easy set up and auto-tuning to the setting have made this one of our best purchases ever.

I used this in my den to be able to play tunes from Internet music service providers, can switch from my car to my Yamaha home audio system. Easily to install and use.

Oh boy where do I start,I have purchased 3 other brands none of them works the way it should and they all bad I return them all. First off some of them don't offer Optical or Coaxial digital out put like Yamaha,even thought Yamaha only offer Digital Coaxial out put which is excellent thank you for that. Secondly other products claim they have at lease 33' from Bluetooth receiver to your phone E.T.C when you stream music,is all the hype and not even 10' away,Yamaha on other hand, offers the same out-of sign as well as it works thru wall, I have 3200 square foot two stories home and it still working without any drop-out or hit-cup at all even to my back yard with my Samsung S6 Edge,and by the way Samsung S6 edge does support BT 4.0 with APTX and A2ADP. That being said Yamaha is the way to go,hooking up is so easy too,just like 1.2.3 done,all in all if you want the best sound in CD quality or beyond, with APTX-A2ADP codec,don't settle with that Y-RCA out put plugs then you just wasted your money, but making sure your receiver or pre-amp has Coaxial input if your units don't have but Optical input most of them do then look for the unit that have optical output I'm sure other brand may have it. This is the Bluetooth adapter for many Yamaha home thater receivers. It works awesome for high definition audio sources. Usiong the YBA-11 I am able to stream DSD and DSD2 high definition audio straight from my devices to my receiver that acts as a control unit for my audiophile music system as well as my home theater system. The DSD capabilities of the receiver and Bluetooth receiver make it very easy to play the latest in high definition source music through my home system.

I was really excited about this receiver. I want to use it for both my home theater and remote speakers. With the add on YBA-11 Bluetooth adapter it was perfect for my needs. First drawback. Zone 2 ONLY works with an analog source. Second drawback. The YBA-11 Bluetooth adapter is a digital only source. This incompatibility is a deal breaker for me.
