Overall, the piano is excellent. Great touch feel on the keys, and the sound is very realistic. Yet, there is one, big glaring issue, enough to knock a couple stars off of the rating. The 'user interface' for the piano is virtually non-existent. There are only two options, neither of which is acceptable. Both require downloading and installing an 'app'. That alone is enough to know that it's not going to be a good user experience. The choice is either a lousy, overpriced Apple iPad or a limited selection of Android phones. Why no web interface? Or a Windows- or Linux-compatible application? Or even a broader selection of Android devices as a last resort? Really a shame for an otherwise excellent digital piano.

The package came with a few damages on the box. Fortunately, all the parts inside are well protected and not damaged. The piano looks decent and has a great sound. The only drawback is the lack of a screen for changing the settings. Also, it doesn't come with a USB cable for computer connection. Overall, it is a great piano.

At 72 years of age, I use the Yamaha to keep my fingers limber for the occasional times I'm asked to play somewhere, and to work on new arrangements when hearing something. "new".

Easy to assemble but needs 2 people. All working well. The menu system without using a pc isn't intuitive but for the things you use all the time (on/off, volume, recording and playback) its easy enough.

This piano is for my 6 years old daughter. We didn't want to spend too much money for the piano. The YDP-144 sounds excellent and looks very good. Compared to the other sites, the Adora has the lowest price with bundle head phone. Also, we wanted to use multiple credit cards for this purchase and it was easy to process through phone. We highly recommend to purchase the YDP-144 if your budget is around $1,100.

Pros: Purchased this piano in June 2019 for a little over $1000 after taxes. It was delivered safely and in a timely manner. For the price, I was extremely please with the look and feel of the piano. The sound is fantastic and the weighted keys help to build finger strength which is great for beginner. While it does have some "bells and whistles" with preset songs, voice settings, Metronome and tuning settings it is a simple piano perfect for those who are just starting to play, don't wish to travel with the piano and may not want to compose songs with added effects. Cons: When first opened I noticed 2 of the keys higher up on the keyboard were rubbing. I didn't mind as I am not playing too many songs that require me to hit those higher notes. However, I have been playing this piano ~10min - 30min every day since purchase. Now, 2 months in, I have keys near the center of the keyboard rubbing when being played which creates an awful scratching noise. I don't hammer the keys when playing and keep the piano covered when not used. I contacted Yamaha (as it's still under warranty) to help remedy this and their response was to take it to your local dealer. I now need to remove the top part of this standup piano and make a 2 hour round trip to fix a new piano with < 3 months use. I understand it's not a 10k piano, but I expected better quality and attention to detail given the price and brand. Overall, it really is a beautiful great sounding piano. Just a shame it started to have problems so soon.

Easy to assemble, good quality and very nice sounding. We had a full piano but it requires so much maintenance on a yearly basis. This was a gift for our two young children and I can definitely see the growing very fond of this instrument.
