Purchased the Yamaha Sub to compliment my Audio Engine 5+ powered computer speakers. The size and shape of the speaker fits perfectly with furniture I use for equipment placement. I find the sound to be just as expected clean and powerful.

Using it with a Yamaha 7.1 AV Receiver and Sony 5 Disk Changer. I like the sound, the front controls, and the fact that I can stuff it in my audio cabinet because my wife does not like subs sitting around on the floor. I am using it strictly for music playback and am pleasantly surprised by the quality of the sound. Have only had it about a month; let's see how it holds up.

We have an apt. sized living room so an over powered big sub would be too much. I have this shelf sub in a system with a yam. 377 amp, yam 333 bookshelf speakers and I'm real happy with it. I guess if you want rattle the windows power for hip hop music you might need more. But for a smaller simple set like mine it's perfect. Nice bass response only using 50% volume. If I do say so myself this whole set up is really well balanced.

I like its simplistic but attractive design; very easy to setup with a single connection to receiver. Basic control knobs for power & volume and no extra; most use cases, that is all that's needed. On the practical side, I would love to have a child proof option added to the design. Maybe an additional/optional grill covering up the big circular opening and control knobs preventing a child from pushing toys into the unit and play with control knobs.

It's small format size makes it perfect for placement on a bookshelf. And its size doesn't sacrifice output power and sound quality. At least as part of my home theater and sound system in a 130 Square Feet Room. I like the system connector port and supplied cable, that allows me to, when connected to my AVR turn it on/off by just turning on/off the AVR. The possibility to place it vertically, following the instructions in the owner's manual and using the provided self adhesive rubber feet, helps save shelf space.

I have two Yamaha YSP 800 soundbars with Yamaha control ports that turn this on and off with the soundbar. The bass is more than sufficient. It is louder than I want when not tuned in for the room. Small footprint, great looks.

I love this system. It fits the bill very well in deep bass sound and makes my wife smile as there are not lots of speakers causing clutter and dust.

I use this in my bedroom and it fits into the entertainment center. Only negative is that I have to cut it on/off. If I had Yamaha receiver it would work just as any other. This was not a show stopper in my bedroom but in a well used environment it would be a real negative. Otherwise a very good product. Great sound from it!
