For his size it pack a lot of punch my tv room is only 20x13 and my TV is a 50 inch and it does bring it alive the clear voice does a great job for bringing the voices clear

Poor clear-voice.
The subwoofer dominates, and a clear voice does not come through.

Controller is Cheaply made
The sound variety is great. Surround sound good too. But the remote control is cheap. Have it 6 months now the buttons stick!!! Soooo frustrating. Need a free replacement.

More than I expected!!
Pretty easy to set up if you just want to listen in your tv room. In my case I need to also hook up my Sony wireless headphones and a speaker system that takes music outside.
This has been a challenge. When in optical I can hear through my headphones and play music to the outside. But after turning the tv off it will not turn the soundbar on upon turning the tv on...I have to put it in HDMI/ARC for that to happen. So if I can fix that I would give it 5 stars.

Great for size
I only use this for watching TV in a smaller bedroom 10x10. So it works fine for that. Plenty of bass. I like the clear voice- it does help to understand dialogue. Reomote is pretty straight forward. Movies sound better. I like the comapct size.

Perfect for bedroom TV
Definitely more bass than you're expecting and has clear voice setting which is perfect for a bedroom TV. And the sub speakers don't turn off when there's low bass like other soundbar and sub wireless combos.

Having been a loyal Yamaha audiophile, I bought this soundbar to connect to my Samsung TV in my bedroom. Unfortunately, I am disappointed with the performance of this unit. On channel changes, FF and Rewind of streaming content, the sound lags by a few seconds upon playing of content. Same performance when pausing and unpausing playback. I mean there's no sound when this happens for a few seconds! And this behavior is consistent! This has become quite frustrating! I don't think this model was tested well. The sound quality is great however. I'm sad to post this review about a Yamaha product. If there is a solution Yamaha is willing to provide, I'm willing to hold onto this unit a few more days. Otherwise, I'm leaning towards returning this unit.

Review of Yamaha SR-C20A
I bought two for two different TV's. Both fit perfectly. One TV has the ARC feature. It took to the speaker with ease. Their best friends now. Works great. The other needed to be hooked up via the old audio input, so I need two remotes. But they work fine together. Very happy.

Don't let the size fool you!
Only 23 inches wide. Virtual Surround Technology that makes it feel like movie theater. Built-in subwoofer with dual passive radiators. Clear Voice to hear the dialogues better. I like that it's bluetooth connection so I can listen to my streaming music and podcasts also.

The sound upgrade I didn't know I needed
My parents have had the same TV's + speakers at their house for quite a while. I installed this with the optical port (which I had never really utilized before) and it took less than 5 minutes. First of all the sound is a GAME CHANGER. I don't know what it is but I feel like with a lot of movies/tv-shows the background noise/music is so loud compared to the speaking, I kept finding myself lowering the volume for action scenes, then having to turn it back up to hear people talking. This fixed all of that instantly and even has a 'Clear Voice' mode to make it even crisper.
The remote works great, but I also love that I can just control it from my phone as well, the app is simple, straightforward, and easy to use.
The sound was just SO much richer than what was coming out of the regular TV. I didn't expect it to be quite as noticeable but it 100% was. I definitely have to get one for my own apartment now!

Perfect for my apartment!
I had been looking for a speaker/sound system for my apartment and the SR-C20 Compact Sound Bar has exceeded my expectations. It is a great size- big enough to give clear sound while sleek enough to fit perfectly on my tv stand. I've been able to connect it to my tv and it has enhanced the sound quality and my overall viewing experience. I love that I can also connect my phone to it via Bluetooth, and use this feature to listen to podcasts/music when I'm cooking or cleaning around my apartment. The sound had great reach, I can hear whatever I am playing from wherever I go. Overall, I love it!

Sound Glorious Sound
Wow. This bar is something else. It sounds like you're on the field for football, in a box for Phantom of the Opera, and next to you local newscaster. Its crystal clear, easy to use, and absolutely bangs. I mean, this thing can go loud. And it just straight up looks good. 10/10, would recommend.

Perfect Sound
The set up was easy. I used the HDMI method and mount the sound board on my wall. I'm no where near handy, but the paper helps to get the perfect line the holes. The sound is perfect it fills the room up and also if you have a party the volume accommodate as well.

Incredible Sound
The Yamaha Sound Bar our performs anything I've ever had. This is the perfect size, not too small not too large. It connects to all my devices flawlessly and sounds fantastic. Totally recommend.
