Other reviewers need to read instructions
The problems the other reviewers complained about are non-issues. There is a control setting in your piano to make this pedal "normally closed" or "normally open." Refer to your piano's instruction manual to set the pedal up accordingly.

Not a Good Choice
When plugged-in, and not pushing down on the pedal, sustain is active. It would be much better for sustain to operate only when pedal is pushed down.

No clue how to use it
There does not seem to be a switch selecting between "normally OPEN" and "normally closed"
so you cannot tell ahead of time which keyboards it would be compatible with.
Most pedals give you a choice.
No directions come with it.
It is NOT as simple as one would assume.
I may have to return it to the store.
