I'm really impressed with this piano. The sample from the CFIIIS concert grand has a truly rich and powerful sound. I was about to choose a casio DP because of its price, but after I saw several youtube videos, the p105 really convenced me, and now that I have it, more than ever I feel like I made the right choise.

I am taking lessons on a piano and I was using a friend's Yamaha DGX200. Which is a great sounding keyboard with 76 keys but it doesn't have the weighted keys to give you the feel of a piano. I decided on the P-105B with the 88 keys. The sounds is wonderful. You think you had a Baby Grand in the house. The weighted keys do give you the feel of piano keys. Ordered from Adorama and to my amazement got it in 24 hours. HIGHLY RECOMMEND YAMAHA P-105B AND DOING BUSINESS WITH ADORAMA.

I purchased this keyboard because of its small size, light weight and built-in speakers. I was tired of lugging around my Roland RD-770 which I used primarily for the piano sounds. After one session, I never went back to the Roland. I ended up selling it. I love the Yahama sound and the responsive keyboard weighted action. I was amazed at how good it was for such an inexpensive keyboard. My only request would be for more piano samples available. I would gladly give up the other patches (except for the strings)

The 128 voice piano is amazing. The best suprise is learning the LP5A pedal set gives you a leslie sound for the Jazz and Rock Organs. The piano sound is amazing. I would recommend resetting the keyboard when you first get it set up. Deprees the last key on the right while powering on. This resets the keyboard. There were features that were not working correctly until the factory told me to reset the keyboard. Resetting allowed the keyboard to act differently than when I first turned it on. It is just an easy way to make sure the keyboard is working as it should.

The Yamaha P105 88-Key Digital Piano with Graded Hammer Action (Black) is an 88-note, weighted-action piano that offers useful features for everyone from beginning players to professionals. The unit is equipped with Graded Hammer Standard (GHS) action, which gives it a similar feel to an acoustic piano.
The P105 PureCF sampled piano sound and internal stereo speakers make it ideal for practicing. The keyboard offers a Split mode and also an innovative Duo mode. The latter lets two people play simultaneously on the keyboard, with each having his or her own middle C.
Another innovative aspect of the P-105 is the Intelligent Acoustic Control feature. It's essentially an adaptive EQ that changes the tonal balance based on the keyboard's volume setting, making sure that the P-105 sounds as good as possible at any level.
In addition to its Built-In Speakers, the P105 features line-level Aux outputs. You can use these to connect to a mixer or other external device without cutting off the speakers. A USB port gives you the ability to interface with a computer. In conjunction with Apple's optional iPad Camera Connection Kit, you can even connect with music apps such as Yamaha's Piano Diary and NoteStar.
You also get 10 built-in styles for practicing with, including boogie woogie, stride piano and ballad arpeggios. A built in Rhythms feature gives you 10 drum patterns to play with, offering a great alternative to a standard metronome.
