The Yamaha S115V continues the tradition of Yamaha's popular Club Series Speakers with improvements being made in almost every facet of the cabinet. Better driver components, a stronger grill, improved crossover network and dual Speakon connectors all contribute to a better overall sonic performance.Improvements in the drivers include higher power handling capabilities and a Constant Directivity Horn. This type of horn design provides smoother and better overall coverage both on and off axis.Equipped with two strong metal handles and a pole mount for easy stand mounting, the S115V is built from sturdy, high-density pine particleboard and houses a crossover network and protection circuits designed to protect the drivers from damage.Yamaha took much consideration in selecting components that met their exact tolerances and the result is a new series of speakers that certainly improves on an already popular and proven product.

Love the speakers. Replaced, believe it or not, an old set of Shure, yes Shure, speakers. These were recommended by my salesman and am I glsd he did. Much better than the speakers I had heard in the store.

Purchased for Bethel, AK Lion's Club as part of small theatre & A/V system, along with Yamaha mixer & amp. All components well made, performed impressively. Room about the size of an average school lunch room, used with a Blu-Ray player and HD projector; could easily overdrive room with 500-watt Yamaha amp. Great frequency response and spatial imaging for movies in 2.0 channel; plan to upgrade to surround later as budget permits. All at affordable cost; highly recommended for any sound reinforcement need.
