Assembly was difficult since the color coded stickers were misplaced.

I just ordered the Yamaha P-525 88-key Digital Piano and this stand. The stand came first. As with most assembly directions they were C- at best. I played accordion for years, also organ and piano for enjoyment, haven't played for years, so don't normally assemble stands. It should be simple. The information on center disc and lever was essentially non-existence. So, at the moment my stand is together and won't lock in place. After looking at disc, I can sort of see why, but instructions and drawing would help. So of course I have to take it apart and hope I can figure it out. Poor instructions are nothing new, but if Yamaha can't put together decent instructions for a simple stand, what am I suppose to think about the quality of the new keyboard I just ordered for $1600? So, back to tearing apart stand, at least an hour job with hope I can get even get it to work. Professional keyboardists probably can put these together in their sleep, i.e. they don't even need instructions. Users like myself do. Regardless, if you are going to ship unassembled products, you should respect your buyers time and prepare detailed instructions. BOTTOM LINE; I added my own bottom line because I can't answer this as optioned below. I don't know if I would recommend this to someone until I get it built correctly.

5 stars for functionality but 1 star for assembly. Directions say to start by putting disk clutch in middle position, but not say how to do that. Took a while to notice the lever on the stand and the button within the disk clutch. Then a set of holes was misaligned and couldn't get bolts in. Had to enlarge holes again and again with whatever I could find, while trying to get foot section on and off several times with a hammer for each attempt at enlarging holes. Aggravated old wrist injury. Then a second set of holes was also misaligned. Repeat above procedure

I use it to support my Montage and because of the extensions I can mount my monitor. It would be nice if the extensions were on both sides offering 1) ability to support varying widths of keyboards and supporting additional gear on the opposite side of the height adjustment trigger and 2) accessories for additional gear (monitors, tablets, laptops, etc...)
