A surprisingly excellent product for the price, solid and quite well built (and not light, either!). The controller allows separate power ratios for left and right flash heads; the heads are position-adjustable on the holder ring (from about 5 & 7 o'clock (right/left respectively) to about 1 & 11 o'clock; the heads are removable and have 1/4-inch threads underneath for independent mounting options; the kit even includes a very nice cloth case! I'd say the only problem may be, surprisingly, power output - as in, often somewhat too much! At ISO 100, 0.32 meter subject distance using Canon's 60mm EF-S at f/9.0 (to control diffraction), I'm using 1/64 power WITH 0.6 (2 stops) ND GELS ATTACHED. Minimum output setting is 1/128 - meaning that, without ND gels or ND filter on the lens, this flash can't be powered down low enough. You can decrease the f-stop but that means taking it down to f/18 @ the 1/128 bare minimum - mostly, diffraction territory, and that's if your camera supports ISO 100. And older Canons only go down to ISO 200, so that's the equivalent of f/36 @ 1/128 @ 0.32m - ouch. Closer is only going to get worse, the extension factor doesn't make up *that* much. So gels or ND filters are pretty much a requirement to have on hand when using this flash, you'll probably need them. So, great macro flash with caveats, maybe really good for other subject used at greater distances (haven't tried it yet).
