These units work OK only when a particular unit is used as the transmitter and a particular unit as the receiver. They were OK as transceivers initially, but within a couple months one of the units worked only for a single function. One can set up for a choice from about 15 or 16 channels to avoid cross-sensivity to a neighbors shoot commands. I've used it to control the Norman studio lights from the camera. They do not, as one would understand with such budget transceivers, give you the sort of control that dedicated speedlights controls deliver, so when using these, I use the screens or the inverse squares law for distance to control flux intensity or power level at the subject. I can use these in addition to a speedlight in some situations, so they are a useful accessory. Lastly, their fit to the camera shoe is barely correct for making a secure contact, so it is important to test before shooting.
