Great flash unit for the money. I always shoot flash in manual, consequently I don?t need an expensive flash unit with all the ?bells and whistles?. The instructions are a little vague, other then that it is a nice on camera flash unit.

This is my second one of these I have owned (the first one took a rough tumble), I love this flash and it works like a champ. Can't compare it to the name brand ones as I've never owned any, but for my needs, it's never let me down.

The Yongnuo lll is a workhorse for those who need "Manual' type speedlights. They are easy to set, and work well in the field. Very pleased with this particular model.

I have been using Yongnuo speedlights for a couple of years now, and am really impressed with them. I use them primarily for out-of-studio work. One of my favorite features is that you can program how long they wait until they sleep. I do a lot of pet photography, and I don't have a lot of control over how long it takes to get my "models" ready. Many other speedlights go to sleep or auto-shutoff before I'm ready to shoot, but not the Yongnuo. The power settings are easy to use and give you a lot of control over the light output.

I own four of these flashes, as well as a couple of the YN560-TX controllers. So far, I have been very impressed with the performance and reliability of this system. It is extremely simple to use, and I prefer to set my lighting manually, rather than using TTL. The power output of these units is outstanding, and the cost of the flashes and controller are so low it's mind boggling for what you are getting. It remains to be seen how consistent the performance will be over the long term, but so far everything has worked without a hitch. I don't give too many 5 star ratings, but I have no reason not too for this product.

I just bought 2 more of these for a total of 4. It is so nice to have such a light weight and super portable lighting set that won't break the bank. Personally I prefer manual over auto flash any day since there isn't any second guessing once the units are set up. Buy the external battery packs and shoot all day long. Incredible bang for the buck. Clean set up for photobooth since you don't have cords all over the place that subjects can trip over. The built in radio slave rocks it too. I use the rx603 controller with no issues. At the current price point I could burn through a set of these every couple of years and still be way ahead of more expensive units like my 580 ex2 or my old speedotrons.

I have a few of these and they work great for my small studio. I trigger them with the Yongnuo TX controller. After 2 years I've not had one misfire or fail.

Quite happy with my purchase. I'm on a budget [like most of us] so a "CameraBrand-Name" speedlite was out the equation. Only 4 stars because I've only had it a short time and haven't explored all the features but Just being able to 'bounce' the light - sheeed! Very happy with results yielded.

Lightbox attachment seemed low quality but I have not tried it yet. The flash itself is easy to use and functions great. It did give me a false dead battery warning but after turning it off and back on it didn't come back.

These are very good and reliable manual speedlights. I own 3 of these, I've had the oldest for over a year. They work very well with the Yongnuo TX controller. I have yet to have one misfire. I use them in my home studio with umbrellas and Softboxes and they get the job done.

Use my with a Canon T3i, go ahead and get the trigger with it, makes everything better. There seemed to be a distinct lag when using built in RF sensor. Couldn't be happier. Now saving for a Tamaron 85mmVC!

I read reviews before investing in this flash system, and knew it was a great value. However, after receiving my flashes and TX transmitter I was very surprised at the design and built quality of this equipment. I plan to use this as a compact, light system for executive/head and shoulders portraits. Right out of the box, I found everything easy to set up, very convenience, and very good performance. For the price, nothing else comes close to this Yongnuo YN-560 III system.

This is a great addition to your camera bag. I used it for a wedding yesterday and experienced no lag, it was reliable, and the batteries lasted all day in it. I'm culling today and the images look great.

Just finished a shoot of 300 photos and it worked flawless. I say 300 photos because I was surprised the batteries lasted for the entire shoot.
