I purchased this flash to take picture of my cousins wedding. Within 45 min of shooting the overheated warning light came on and never left. It is made in china and apparently when I looked online at other peoples issues, I guess this is not uncommon with this flash. I tried everything I could to correct the issue but to no avail. The wedding was inside so picture came out grainy and washed out as there was not wnough light from the pop up flash on the camera. It was a sickening feeling. I returned this flash and am saving my money for the real deal! Canon 600. It may cost 400.00 but at least it won't overheat as I have heard wonderful reviews about it.

Good flash for the price. I use it with my canon 6d and it does the job.

I own three of these flashes for off camera flash. One flash is three years old and still works like new.

I think this flash is an excellent value. I haven't owned mine long enough yet to comment on the durability and reliability issues mentioned by some of the negative reviewers, but I've had no complaints so far. All I can say is that I can buy 5 of these for the same price as the Canon Speedlight it emulates. I've been rather limited in my use of a general external flash. I do a lot of macro photography. For that I use a Yongnuo ring flash I purchased last year. The interface on it is very similar to the 568EX. My ring flash been a reliable performer for thousands of flashes, so I'm hoping for the same with my new one as well. Exposures have been fairly consistent in both ETTL and manual modes. Recycle time is under 3 seconds, usually even faster, if full power isn't used.. The benefit of being able to bounce and diffuse your flash can't be overstated. Bounce vs. direct flash is like night and day (pun intended). I only wish I'd figured this out long ago. I recommend it.

BY the time I purchased the Yongnuo YN-568 EXII, it already had a stellar reputation as an alternative to a pricier Canon rig. I bought this as a supplement to the two Yongnuo 565EXs I already have. I purchased the YN-EXII because of the wireless capabilities as well as the fact that it retains the supplemental battery port.

We may need additional info about the TTL and to set the camera with the AUTO

This is my second 568. I'm experimenting with off camera flash using the wireless (optical) capabilities and it works just great with my previous 568 (1 year old) and Canon 430EXII (slaved). It takes 4 each AA batteries and that does me for about 2-3 hours of pretty continuous ETTL shooting (proms/graduations between 170-250 exposures). It gets warm, but has yet to shutdown/overheat. I also use it with and ETTL extension cord and frame which has virtually eliminated subject red eye. It feels sturdy (as much as a flash possibly could) and has a nice case. You CAN control all the settings from the back of my 70D and 7DMKII. Why 5 for 5, because so, far, its hasn't let me down. I normally shoot between 4-20 feet.

Was skeptical about this because it was so cheap...but having it for 2 weeks so far and so far so good lol.
