Great option if you want to take your Nikon flash kit off-camera. Easy to set up and use. My only gripe is that it WILL NOT work if you lock it on your hot shoe. The second you unlock the retention pins, it works perfectly. It?s snug enough of a fit that I don?t worry about it falling off but it is a strange quirk.

except for the instruction manual this remote is a winner but I had to go to You-Tube videos to figure out how to use it, especially for manual mode. The instructions are very poorly translated. You will need You-Tube - unless you are fluent in Chinese.

Based on the description, I was a little skeptical about whether this would work as I wanted it to. I wanted a controller for off camera flash and remote trigger. Some of the description and comments implied it might not do both. It did. The instructions were clear enough that each function worked as described first time. I haven't taken the set up into the field and I'm not very good at using flash but think this should do just fine. Remote trigger works a little strangely. You press the Test button. If flash is on, it will light up the flash. If off, there's a delay (about 1 second but seems longer) and then the shutter fires. I was expecting a single button that would immediately trigger the shutter but not there. I haven't tested range but it seems pretty good. I placed the flash off camera with a table between the unit and flash and it still fired-- apparently not line of sight.and definitely doesn't require that you be in front of the camera as the Canon unit.apparently requires. So, so far, the hardest part was finding the batteries (I thought I had double A's in my bag but didn't).
