Great option if you want to take your Nikon flash kit off-camera. Easy to set up and use. My only gripe is that it WILL NOT work if you lock it on your hot shoe. The second you unlock the retention pins, it works perfectly. It?s snug enough of a fit that I don?t worry about it falling off but it is a strange quirk.

except for the instruction manual this remote is a winner but I had to go to You-Tube videos to figure out how to use it, especially for manual mode. The instructions are very poorly translated. You will need You-Tube - unless you are fluent in Chinese.

Much easier and quicker to control the flashes using this remote than doing it through the camera menus. Worked great with my 80D and 5D Mark IV.

My 3 star rating doesn't mean anything since I couldn't use it with my Canon camera so had to return it. It may be a very good item but I can't give a true opinion.

Good transmitter, but I'm having problems. I purchased the following setup: 1) YN-560IV (2 flashes) 2) YN968EX-RT (1 flash) 3) YN622C-TX 4) YN622C II E-TTL (2 receivers) I am trying to do the following: Camera+YN622C-TX YN968EX-RT + YN622C II E-TTL YN-560IV + YN622C II E-TTL The combination works perfectly with 968ex-rt, and I can control the flash power and zoom from my YN622C-TX. But YN-560IV connected to YN622C II E-TTL does fire, but doesn't let me control the flash power and zoom from YN622C-TX. Maybe someone could help, what should I do to control flash power and zoom on YN-560IV based on YN622C II E-TTL, from my YN622C-TX? A bit frustrated at the moment, although the controller seems to be working fine with one flash setup, it's not working with the other, although nothing is said about functionality neither in the description nor in the instruction (I supposed with YN-622 controller on any Yongnuo flash it should be working flawlessly).

This set is super easy to set up and use. I'm very happy with how this works with my Nikon D500 and SB800 speedlight.

This controller makes it insanely easy to completely control a group of Yongnuo flashes. I am a professional real estate photographer and often use up to 3 flashes in manual mode to light up the properties I’m shooting. It couldn't be easier! Highly recommended for either the working pro or the hobbiest.

I have been shooting with the 7D mk2 for a year with the yn622c ii transceivers and I could use the pop up flash button on camera to get directly to the flash control menu while shooting to change my settings. At that time I didn't need a controller, I could use my camera to control everything.Recently I have added the 5D mk 3 to my gear. And it took way to long to get to the flash control menu. There is no quick button I can use on the 5D mk 3 to change my settings, because it has no on camera flash. I have had the Yn622cii trigger transceivers for a while now and they work great. I have been happy with them, they transfer all ETTL AND HSS data to all my off camera flash. I can control everything right from my camera. But it takes way too long to get to the menu on the 5D mk3. So I decided to get the yn622c-tx controller to speed up my shooting again. It is actually a little faster changing my settings than the way I use to shoot with my 7D mk2. With the controller it's faster changing between the groups ABC and changing the settings for each group. It changes all settings ETTL, HHS, 2nd curtain sync, zoom head, and power settings all right from the controller. No more fussing with going through the camera menu to change settings. I am very happy with the YN622-TX controller.

This little device is nice!! Bright screen with pretty good response buttons. Works well with my two YN-685 Canon verion flashes. The communicate distance is pretty decent also. It gets the job done. Still, there are some cons for this device: for these days people use cellphone a lot, which is nice designed with user friendly interface. This device is a little difficult to start with and the way to control flash needs a bit of work, which could be designed better; Second, the power consumption. After like three hours use, the battery starts to drop, which as a flash controller, I did not expect the battery would drop this fast. Third, the user manual could be better... Overall, if you are using Yongnue flash, this is definitely a must.

I purchased the kit with the controller and transceiver and four additional transceivers for Nikon. This gives the ability to fire five flashes. I was able to set-up the controller and transceivers in just a few minuets without difficulty and I really didn't need to read the directions. I use this set up to take multiple high speed flash pictures of hummingbirds and to set-up multiple flashes for cave photography. The ability to use a radio signal to fire the flashes is much more reliable than an optical system as the controller and transceiver do not have to in a direct line-of sight. The radio signals have a greater range than optical systems. Also with optical systems you have to be sure that the sensor can read the master flash. This is often difficult and results in flash misfires. I have several friends who use this same set-up with Canon equipment and it also works well. I recommend this product without reservation.

Based on the description, I was a little skeptical about whether this would work as I wanted it to. I wanted a controller for off camera flash and remote trigger. Some of the description and comments implied it might not do both. It did. The instructions were clear enough that each function worked as described first time. I haven't taken the set up into the field and I'm not very good at using flash but think this should do just fine. Remote trigger works a little strangely. You press the Test button. If flash is on, it will light up the flash. If off, there's a delay (about 1 second but seems longer) and then the shutter fires. I was expecting a single button that would immediately trigger the shutter but not there. I haven't tested range but it seems pretty good. I placed the flash off camera with a table between the unit and flash and it still fired-- apparently not line of sight.and definitely doesn't require that you be in front of the camera as the Canon unit.apparently requires. So, so far, the hardest part was finding the batteries (I thought I had double A's in my bag but didn't).

They work well enough. You need to remove the batteries after use because it is suuuuper easy for things to get turned on bouncing around in your bag and then you have drained batteries when you need them. I do get some missed flashes from time to time. This is either because the transmitter needs to be re-seated on the hot shoe or the flash I'm using with the receiver is being bad and does not want to jive right. I also use the transmitter with my Yongnuo YN586 and it has never missed a flash. Very reliable. The only other issues I have with this setup is the way the transmitter locks onto the cameras hot shoe. It has this twist knob that can get REALLY stuck sometimes and becomes very difficult to untwist when you want to remove it. I had to use pliers to get it to loosen. I combat this by just lightly tightening it down. It would be better if it had a lever lock.

So far these triggers have worked really well and for the most part have been easy to use. My one issue with them is that there is a recommended software upgrade that was not all that easy to install because I am on a Mac. The upgrade appears to only work on PCs. Also the cord needed for the upgrade is not included. (I used the cord that came with my GoPro.) This may be a situation where you get what you pay for, but in general these triggers are a very good value, and after upgrading the software I have had no trouble with them at all.

Works like a charm every time. Not as robust as the camera brand, but with care the YN 622-TX trigger kit will do the trick.

No complaints. Works good so far with no problems. Makes remote flashes useful and you can do high speed sync with it.

I own a Canon transmitter as well as a Phottix and both have served their purpose but this Yongnuo version gets high marks from me. It's easy to manage, very flexible, and has a good range of use. All we need is a transmitter that works around corners and within reasonable distance and this is it. A plus that it's operated by two AA batteries, something always in my bag.

No complaints, works every time. Only bad thing is you can't use rechargeable batteries. But it doesn't drain like others. I have used it for probably 1000 pictures and haven't replaced the batteries yet.
