Nice unit - Great Value
I volunteered to shoot the wedding of a friend's child and needed to upgrade my existing speedlight setup. I bought a kit with the YN685 and this controller, together with another YN685. The learning curve was fairly easy. I found good on-line materials and practiced extensively in the 2 weeks before the event, but felt comfortable enough to manage when the event arrived, I believe I have a lot more to learn and grow into with the unit. For a hobbyist, this unit provides a great bang for the buck.

GREAT PRICE FOR ENTRY LEVEL
I am a crime scene photographer, and for the price this was a great buy. This was my first flash trigger, and so far it seems to be very responsive. I have only had once chance to use it, but I was able to get the photos that I need, and was able to shoot at a little higher f stop, to get the depth of field that I needed. If you can buy the Nikon or other brands, then by all means, spend the money, but if you're on a budget, this was more than fill your need.

I’m a Flasher now!
I have entered a whole new world of off camera flashes. I bought two flashes and a controller and it’s great. The controller and flashes take a little time to learn how to setup but they do a good job. It’s well built and a very good screen easy to read. You can’t go wrong with Yongnuo!

Reliable and Capable Unit
I love this controller. I have two Yongnu flash units that I control with this and it makes me much more portable than before. Works well with my nikon equipment. The price was reasonable. I have no complaints.

Great budget controller / trigger.
This works well with Nikon cameras. The only issues I have ever had is you may think it isn't working at all. You need to do a reset on either the controller and/or triggers. The controller is easy as it has a dual set of clear buttons and the triggers it uses a combination of two buttons not labeled. Once cleared, it reverts to working as expected. Try to connect it all up before powering things up. Test in the trigger test first then test from the controller and you should know before you start if you'll have a problem. There is a Video on doing this.

Worth it!
This is worth every penny and works every time!
While Yongnuo is known for their poor instruction manuals, you can always find YouTube videos.

TTL Flash on the cheap, not always reliable
This flash controller (I use it with two Yongnuo YN-685 flashes) usually works very well. With tripod use at eye level, you must either have somewhere else to mount it (other than the camera shoe), a step-stool or a mirror to read the LCD display atop the unit or its controls. But it will remotely fire an off-camera, rf-receiving Yongnuo flash...
...most of the time. And sometimes it does not fire. No doubt some of this is due to a mount that is sub-Nikon in build quality. But it's pretty amazing technology, and you can buy two of these and own a spare and buy two of their top flashes and some umbrellas for less than one Nikon flash, cost of radio controller extra.

So far so good.
I am using this controller with two other receivers with my D750 and SB800 flash units. While I am still learning the best ways of using them the overall impression is very positive. Very quickly to setup and control separate flash units. Like how small they are. The only wish is for a storage container of some sort. So far keeping them in the provided bubble wrap baggies. Was happy to learn they take regular AA batteries and so far seem to last and last.
