I currently own three of this model and 1 of the previous Yongnuo models. I love the fact these work directly with Yongnuo transmitter I purchased for the previous model. I use these on camera for quick shooting as I am running around at parties and events that I shoot at. I also use them off camera with the Yongnuo transmitter and a mix of 40" and 60" umbrellas, reflectors, or a 24" softbox. I have used these and the previous Yongnuo version for somewhere in the neighborhood of 10,000 shots. No complaints whatsoever. Flash exposure is better than it ever was with either my Canon 580 or 420. Plus a heck of a lot less in price.

This flash comes with a learning curve. The manual that comes with it is not very well written. Read it carefully! I control both flashes with a YN622C II radio slave. I mount one radio slave on the camera and do all my adjusting in the menu (External Speedlite Control) through my Canon 5D Mark II. If you have this in your menu then you should be able to do it too. I also control my three Canon 580EX through a YN622C II mounted on the bottom of each flash. I have to set the 580's manually but that it okay as I shoot them full power on the background outdoors. Hope this helps.

I just purchased one and the quality is bad. It can only flash once and lost connection. I need to call Adorama for returning.

Great value. Hasn't missed yet. Easy to put into salve mode and adjust.

This does not support optical slave mode, so you need to buy a trigger if you want to use off camera hotshoe. May be not much useful for a beginner as first flash. Adorama did a great job in exchanging for a flash that has optical slave mode. May be the description should have that detail.

Works with my canon 7d and 1dx II. I have 3 yn's and a ynTX 622c ....I just wish they fixed the misaligned focus grid beam it shoots out to acquire focus

Have used this flash several times already. Works great and costs so much less than the canon speedlights. I would recommend!! I will be buying another flash soon

Excellent flash for the money, at a fraction of the cost, whether its a primary or backup flash. Quality seems to be close enough to OEM Canon equipment and very excited to use this new tool. In fact, I ordered a second with a transmitter. Now my worn Canon flash is the backup and I think I'll buy another Yongnuo before I pay Canon the cost of repairing it. Also cant beat the FREE SHIPPING from Adorama and FAST delivery!!

This flash does everything I want it to do. It has a wireless receiver to connect with my YN622TX, it has a port to connect to my external battery, and more. This flash will also act as my backup to my Canon 580EX II for event work.

I like it a lot. Better luck then with the 568exii which I had to return both. Will be exchanging them for two more of these.
