The ACT Blackmagic Pocket Recoil Rig is an Arca-Swiss compatible shoulder rig with a lightweight camera cage. Designed specifically for the Blackmagic 4K and 6K cameras, this rig is balanced, easy to customize, and perfect for all-day filming.An ACT Recoil rig is designed for optimal balance and comfort when shoulder mounted and is easily configured to accommodate various shooting styles- tripod, cage, handheld, run'n'gun, low mode, and many more! - Blackmagic 4k/6k Camera Cage - The Blackmagic 4K and 6K Pocket Camera Cage is our "no-cage" cage. It is lightweight and compact, and packs in a ton of features! It includes a Zacuto camera hand strap for a secure and comfortable grip on the camera. The cage also comes with strain relief clamps and right angle adapters for both the USB and HDMI connectors.The top of the cage includes numerous 1/4 20 for mounting accessories. It also has a built-in Z-Rail for mounting an optional top handle or other accessories. The bottom of the cage has 2 1/4" 20 threads and a 3/8" 16 thread for a tripod plate and a built-in Arca Swiss compatible plate to mount to any Arca Swiss compatible quick release mounting base like the ACT Mounting Plate. This allows you to move quickly from handheld, to shoulder mount, to tripod shooting.If you'd like to add rods onto your cage, you can slide the cage into our ACT Baseplate and from there you can also build a shoulder rig. The cage is designed for full access to the camera's battery door and full button control. There is also an optional Metabones adapter support and SSD holder.Optional Hand Grips:Tactical Handle- Top or Side Handle- Our most versatile handle! With the turn of one ratcheting lever, this handle can be a top handle, left hand grip, or right hand grip- use it where you need it for your shooting style. The slim design fits comfortably in your hand. Along the top is a Z-Rail (NATO rail), giving you multiple 1/4 20 screw holes for mounting accessories like an Atomos Recorder or small monitor with our Universal Monitor Mount. It also has a coldshoe mount and 15mm rod port for mounting additional accessories like one of our Axis Mini or Axis Micro, EVF Mounts.The Zarn, inspired by filmmaker Clinton Harn, is a railed mounted wood ball shaped handgrip. It slides onto any Z-Rail, or any compatible rail. It was designed to be mounted on the side of our mirrorless cages like the GH5 cage or Sony A7 series cage but can mount on any cage with rails. The ball shape grip allows for smooth camera movement in the palm of your hand and is best utilized with a "ball and socket" technique.Note:Compatible rails are - NATO, SWAT, RED, PICATINNY, and WOODEN CAMERA rails. - ACT Baseplate - The ACT Baseplate is an Arca-Swiss compatible baseplate. The Axis Micro has extensive articulation for use with a variety of cameras, both shoulder mounted in a Recoil configuration or in tripod operating position. The Axis Micro attaches to your rig via a required 15mm rod port at the top of a kit positioned perpendicular to your camera lens, see recommended accessories. Slide the Axis Micro into the 15mm rod port and clamp into place. Everything about this rig is perfect and works flawlessly! Love all the attachments from the EVF, the tactical grip to the amazing trigger grip handle and ease of use to adjust everything on the fly. Great piece of gear starting from the ACT baseplate, the Cage and everything about it feels bulletproof and made to last!

As good as it gets for my BMPCC4K & 6K

I’m a 5’4 female and filmmaker. I’ve shot docs and do run and gun. Cowboy rigs, gimbal set ups and other janky things I’ve tried hurt my back and/or weren’t versatile enough to allow me to move fast. The recoil has made things SOOOOO much easier and enjoyable for me. Highly recommend—especially if you are a smaller person.
