Absolutely Essential

I have four of these VCT tripod docks, four of the VCT plates and its exactly what I was searching for. Our production company has multiple cameras, tripods and sliders that we use all the time. We have outfitted each of the mounting locations with the same VCT plate which allows us to switch the cameras around so much easier. Want it on a tripod, no problem. Switch to the slider, no problem.This has really sped up our workflow. Highly recommend!

VCT Pro Baseplate

FINE. I like the setting to position the FX 6, for its held position in the shoulder pad. Not too heavy, fortunately! Good build quality.

Great option, works perfectly with VCT Pro Baseplate

Great option to have if you are using a second tripod or slider. Only takes a few seconds to detach the camera from the VCT Pro Baseplate and lock it into the VCT Pro Tripod Dock. It used to be a significant hassle and a few minutes with a screwdriver for me to be able to use my slider, now I can easily switch between the two. Highly recommended.

Keep it all on one mount

I enjoying having an alternative mount laying around that I can use when I want to pull the camera off the VCT Pro Baseplate. I don't have to worry about swapping camera plates and messing around with any screws. I can just place it directly in this mount without any fuss. The only thing that felt different to me was the release button when sliding the camera plate out. I feel like its on the opposite side that you are used to when using the VCT Pro Baseplate but no big deal at all.

Surprised No One Has Reviewed This Yet!

This is a MUST BUY if you purchase the VCT Pro. I love this addition. It's a bit expensive, but after testing it out, I have full faith in it with even fully rigged cameras. Being able to switch from this to the VCT Pro has made shooting and packing up really delightful. I bought an extra tripod clip so I could have one on this and one on a VCT plate. It has sped up production immensely. As well as I can more easily balance the camera on a Sachtler FSB8 using this.
