- Gratical Eye -
The Gratical Eye SDI electronic viewfinder is the smallest and lightest of our Micro OLED EVFs. It fits in the palm of your hand and weighs only 14oz. This is an ideal SDI EVF solution for filmmakers using professional cameras and external batteries. The Gratical Eye has a 2 pin Lemo power jack and a single SDI input. A 75Wh battery can power the Gratical Eye for 14 hours! Mount the Gratical Eye to your Next Generation Recoil via the 1/4 20 rosette on the side with an Axis Mini.
The Gratical Eye Micro OLED electronic viewfinder uses an extremely powerful FPGA dual-core processor and the latest Micro-OLED displays to provide a hugely expanded contrast range. Our Micro-OLED display supports high pixel density with unparalleled resolution, true blacks, gamma and contrast range. The Gratical Eye has 5.4 million pixels on a 0.61" diagonal screen no bigger than the size of your thumbnail.
You'll be amazed with how sharp the image is. The internal field of view is just the right size so that the image is large, but not so that your eye has to roam to see the entire image at once. It features a built in -1 to +4 diopter range and Zacuto's patented essential anti-fog coating formula. It never fogs in humidity or freezing temperatures. An auto-closing eyecup door prevents sunburn display automatically without any action by the operator.
Along with the full suite of Zacuto EVF firmware (full scopes, LUTs, multi level peaking, and more), the Gratical Eye has two unique features - an external tally light and a proximity screen saver.

Note:
External power is required for the Eye. This Power/SDI cable transmits both power and video to the Eye. A Gripper 75 can power the Gratical eye for up to 12 hours and mounts directly to rods out the back of your baseplate. Alternately, with our Zwiss Plate V2 and additional rear rods, you can add a S standard battery plate and batteries.
- VCT Pro Baseplate -
The VCT Pro camera baseplate is compatible with all cameras including Canon EOS C-series, Sony FS5/FS5 Mark II, FS7/FS7 Mark II and Sony FX9, AJA CION, BlackMagic, Panasonic EVA1, Panasonic Varicam LT, RED cameras, Arri Alexa and Amira, DSLRs, Mirrorless and more The VCT Pro has a built-in, curved shoulder pad and an Arri M6 rosette for accessories and grips. It comes with quick-release, extendable 6.5" rods at the front, and lightweight spaced quick-release rod ports at the back. The v-wedge tripod connector is compatible with VCT14 tripod adapter plates or use the 1/4 20 and 3/8 16 screw holes for direct connection to your tripod quick release plate.
The red sliding top plate offers easy adjust-ability for lens changes, removing your camera, and balancing your rig correctly on your shoulder. This sliding plate combined with a double screw track offers 10" of camera balance sliding range. You can quickly release your camera from the rig by sliding the red plate completely off and using our VCT Pro Dock to quickly transition it to a tripod, slider, etc. We also offer a shorter red plate for smaller cameras like Mirrorless and DSLR cameras.
The lightweight, adjustable rod mount is set far back in the plate, offering plenty of accessory-capable area under the camera lens. This allows you to position your camera further back on the plate, keeping the balance point of your rig directly over your shoulder. The sliding track of the rod riser offers 25mm of vertical adjustment. Alternate Tall Rod Riser offering up to 45mm of vertical adjustment - for RED cameras - is available.
The shoulder pad portion of the VCT Universal is set as far forward on the plate as possible, also to maximize your accessory capable rod area and aid with balance. The VCT Universal Baseplate is the core of our Next Generation Recoil rigs, designed for balance and comfort for every camera.
Keeping the camera low prevents already tall cameras from being too top heavy. With our VCT, the distance from the bottom of your camera to your shoulder is just 3/4 inch.
- Recoil Handle -
The Recoil Handle is a quick-release top handle with multiple accessory mounting options. It is compatible with any Z-Rail (not included.) It includes two coldshoe mounts (one vertical & one horizontal) that secure with a quick-release clamp onto the shoe of your accessory. Mount two coldshoe items at once with a half turn of a Zacuto lever. No unnecessary winding of an annoying plastic round tie-down wheel!
At the opposite end of the handgrip, there's two 15mm quick-release rod ports. One rod port faces to the side of the handle, the other towards the front. The Recoil Handle includes one 1/4" 20 screw hole mount. The top handle itself is hand-tooled fine three-quarter maple.
We offer six Z-Rail options (not included) to attach the Recoil Handle:
Half Cage
Halfcage Rail
3" Z-Rail
5" Z-Rail
Z-Rail T
Also compatible with NATO, SWAT, RED, PICATINNY, and WOODEN CAMERA rails.
- Rosette Trigger Grip -
The Rosette Trigger Grip is a single handgrip that relocates any rosette based camera/lens grip to a comfortable handgrip position for shoulder rigs. It is compatible with the Canon C500 mark II, Canon C200, Ursa Mini, Panasonic Varicam and the Canon 18-80 lens grip to name a few. The Trigger Grip attaches to an M6 Rosette, such as the rosette on the side of our VCT Pro.
Our trigger grips are the most adjustable grips available. They allow for single-handed 360 Degree rotation with the simple press of a trigger. The two handles rotate independently of each other. Flip them down for a low, rock-solid handgrip. Raise it up for more of an Aaton style position. Or quickly flip them both all the way up to set your camera flat on the ground or for storing in a case. Or stagger them if that is more comfortable to you. The length of the handgrips can also adjust by loosening a red lever and pulling the grip out or pushing in.
- Canon C500 Mark II Top Plate -
The C500 Mark II Top Plate has a built in Z-Rail perfect for adding the Zacuto Slim Top Handle or Recoil Handle. Or if desired, you can reattach your Canon Handle to the plate. The Zacuto top handles give you the ability to quickly slide your handle back and forth to achieve perfect balance.
The top plate has a multitude of 1/4 20 and 3/8 16 screw holes for mounting various accessories. At the back of the plate is a 15mm rod port for a Zamerican arm or other 15mm accessory and a grooved mount for the Canon C500 LCD. The Canon LCD can also mount to the built in Z-Rail if needed. If you are using the Zacuto Recoil handle, the C200 LCD can mount into the coldshoe of the Recoil handle with the addition of the C200 LCD Mount.
If you opt to use Canon's camera handle, and need to mount an Axis for a Gratical EVF, you can mount the Z-Rail Axis mount to the front of your top plate and it will give you a 15mm quick release rod port to mount the Axis Mini, EVF Mount.
- Axis Mini -
The Axis Mini is the most adjustable ENG style mount for rosette mounted EVFs, giving you full 360 Degree motion with four adjustment points. Designed to attach to the top of your camera set up, it leaves plenty of room at the lens for focusing and will work with the widest of lenses. It can easily be adjusted with one hand while the rig is on your shoulder. The Axis Mini has extensive articulation for use with a variety of cameras, both shoulder mounted in a Next Generation Recoil or in tripod operating position. It is very small and quick to install and remove.
The Axis Mini attaches to your rig via a required 15mm rod port at the top of a kit positioned perpendicular to your camera lens, see recommended accessories. Slide the Axis Mini into the 15mm rod port and clamp into place. The Axis Mini attaches to the EVF via a secure 1/4" 20 rosette mount. EVF's with a 1/4" 20 screw mount require the Quad Rail for use with the Axis Mini.
The Axis Mini has three red tension levers that are controlled independently with 360 degree motion. Release all three levers to completely reposition the mount or release just one to make single segment adjustments. You can dial in the exact amount of tension needed at each lever to adjust on the fly. Just grab and move.
Note: If you are left eye shooter an additional extension is required.
