Flip them down for a sturdy, low handgrip, or raise them for an Aaton-style position. For added convenience, both grips can be flipped up, allowing you to set your camera flat on a flat surface or store it in a case. You can also stagger the grips for personalized comfort. I use Dual Grip Trigger Base several different ways. That's the best thing about this grip design is you have so many build options. If I'm run and gun I use the Nucleus M grips to pull focus and zoom as I operate. On commercial gigs I have an AC pulling focus for me so I use wooden handles for a more comfortable grip. Of course the second best feature is the grips can easily be flipped up out of the way so you can set the camera down on a flat surface.
