Sturdy and Versatile

We use our top handle along with the EVA1 top plate and the 15mm Rod Lock accessory for our EVA1 camera. The hardware is extremely solid and well manufactured and it has been easy to adapt to our preferred configurations.

Lightweight Multifunctional Handle

Added this to the Zacuto Z Cam cage and what an excellent choice! Super easy to slide on and adjust the location, mounting holes for monitors/ magic arms and accessories as well as a hot shoe which makes this handle one of the best on the market. The handle is lightweight and when handles you can quickly tell this was engineered and built to last. The wood is very helpful when working in cold/hot environments and makes the handle much lighter and more comfortable to hold. Highly recommend this handle on all zacuto rigs that support it.

It's a handle, and burly

Z-rail compatability and expendability with threaded holes aplenty... solid, but not HUGE, and a great component of a lightweight rig kit. Only improvement would be if it had a few horizontal threaded holes.

Good, but why not include the 15mm rod clamp?

I'm glad they slimmed town the top handle. It feels good to use and I like the addition of the screw holes in the top. I wish it included the 15mm rod mounting adapter at the front though for the price.

Good Size

I appreciate that this handle is smaller and has the threaded top. It still feels good to hold and is really solid on the camera. It is a welcome update to the old top handle.

Great for heavy camera

Shooting all day long for days on end with a heavy RED camera can become cumbersome. Thanks to my team using the Zacuto top handle, it was such a blessing when it came to holding the camera off my shoulder between takes or when transporting it from location to location. The finger grips are built for such comfort. It was also very easy to build the rest of the camera rig around the top handle and still be able to access it quickly and without a struggle. On occasion, I even operated the camera only holding it by the top handle. I highly recommend this product!

The Zacuto Extended Top Handle's slim design fits comfortably in your hand. This is a taller design over our original Top Handle. This is particularly useful when mounting the audio devices on the hotshoe of the GH5 or Sony Mirrorless cameras and using our cages.

It gives you the ability to mount several accessories with the built in 1/4-20" screw holes, Z-Rail on top and a coldshoe mount. You can also add an optional 15mm Rod Lock for mounting an Axis Mini or articulating arm. The Top Handle attaches to any Z-Rail Dovetail and the Z-Rail jaw clamp can be oriented multiple ways to work on horizontal or vertical Z-Rail. It releases quickly with the flip of a mini ratcheting lever. This is the perfect handle for mounting to the GH5 Cage, Sony A7III, A7RIII or A9 cage or using on your Recoil Rigs.
